Owning gixxer since 2015
Best bike in 160 cc segment . Great engine performance and control in city and highways . Handling the bike is probably the best as we know there are lot of pot holes and speed breakers. Maintaince is bit high compared to TVS and service network has improved since 2017. I have been giving bike to Suzuki service centers and the response is good . Some times for minor issues you don't get proper response which is bit frustrating experience .. overall for engine quality , handling this bike is the best.. if you are a middle aged person and looking for a bike this is not a good option for you . If you are a college going person or young working professional then this is the best, piillon riders won't be liking the seating for sure .. not sure about how the updated gixxer is now .-

More price in showrooms Tirupati, AP
I contacted to Abhi suzuki showroom & Garuda suzuki showroom in Tirupati. And also contacted Abhi suzuki showroom in Nellore, AP. They're telling On road price is 1,45,000 - 1,50,000. But I checked online suzuki Gixxer price shows only 1,31,000 ( including RTO + Insurance ) It's very disappointed me... My email address [email protected] for ur contact about it.-

Perfect street fighter in its price bracket
I have been owning this bike since 2015. Since then I have been using this bike as my city commute and not just that, I even used to take it for some occasional highway rides as well. 1. Comfort This bike is one of the most comfortable in its segment. The riding posture of this bike is straight and handlebar is a bit on farther side but it's not uncomfortable at all. Suspension are very plush they absorbs almost every kind of bump or potholes. The seat doesn't have a great padding but again you can install the foam to seats afterwards. 2. Engine and Technology The bike which I am owning is the carburetted one as it is 2015 make while the current variant have the fuel injection. The bike has SUPER SMOOTH ENGINE which is good for generating 14.8BHP with 14NM power and torque figures respectively. This engine is good in low and mid rpm range while it goes upto 9.5k RPM but it is not that rev happy engine. At higher RPMs the vibrations will generate. 3.Fuel Efficiency The bike is a great mile muncher. It gives the mileage of around 53Kmpl at speeds around 65-70 KM/H while if you cruise at highway at speeds of around 85 KM/H the bike will give the mileage of around 47 KMPL while in city at 80-85 KMPH the bike gives mileage of around 42 KMPL. Since my bike is carburetted one the FI variant will surely give the better mileage than this. 4.Brakes The bike have the disc brakes at both the ends and as per the performance of the bike the brakes are decent. The provide enoungh stooping power with the MRF rubber at both ends. The tires provide the good amount of grip. It is also equipped with single channel ABS for panick braking situations. 5.Lighting The bike lacks on the lighting side. It is okay for the city rides but for highways you will have to install auxiliary lights for once sun goes down. It now comes with LED HEADLIGHT and LED REAR LIGHT. 6.Gearbox The 5 speed gearbox is not that smooth on other bikes but it will surely not cause problems to you. Tips to remember Never ever get 3 people on bike otherwise your rear suspension will be gone and you will then have lower ground clearance and which will result in scrapping of exhaust part of your bike at speedbreakers and potholes. Keep a check on engine oil suspension leaks and air filter regularly in around 20 days If your rear tire is wearing more on one side then try it by replacing the brackets for swing arm at the chassis end.-

Excellent street bike
Gixxer is a excellent bike with 45 to 50km per litre in a city and on highway more than 50km per litre by sure. I am using motul 7100 10w40 which is a excellent engine oil which will make your bike gear shift smooth and improve your bike mileage. Adjust your rear mono suspension to fifth level to make it well comfortable for pillion rider. Increase your headlight brightness from your bike mechanic for better night riding. Don't forget to tighten your bike chain and lube it after every 20 days for better bike performance.-

Wonderfull machine
Have been using this bike for city as well as long tours(bangalore to Munnar, Kodai etc), Engine performs seamlessly, Mileage wont be 64 of-course, Highways it would be 45-50 and for city it would be 38-40. My friend has fuel injected variant of the same and mileage is way better to that of carbureted version . Best bike in the segment i would say-

Carburator damage in new bike and not taking any action.
I have already sent lots of comment and also talked with suzuki manager but they all are lying with me. They are not providing original part in inside the bike and when you talk with them regarding this issue that time they give you reason this part is not in under warranty.. Such guys don't purchase this suzuki bike and not purchase any suzuki vehicles..-

Awesome bike to ride in the city.
The Gixxer kicks in ample performance required in the city, and brakes have good bite and with addition of abs work perfectly to increase the safety. Very good for daily commute as it is easily maneuverable in the traffic. The suspension is also very good to ride easily through the pot-holes.-

Pillion Rider is not comfortable with gixxer
Suzuki bikes are reliable but present shapes are not supporting to middle class and family holders ladies sitting in back is difficult, TVS copied design from Suzuki now they are making based on public requirements I don't know what happened to Suzuki designers all junk design see how bad shapes Gixxer and intruder who will buy them. See bullet Trump Benelli and Ducati have decent looks-

Suzuki Gixxer 155cc ReviewSep 11, 2015 04:01 PM
It's a contender in the 150 cc bike segment and though there may be capable rivals like the TVS Apache or the Bajaj Discover F, Suzuki has gone all out to hit the Yamaha FZ Version 2.0 with the...
