About Honda Cars

A 100 per cent subsidiary of Japanese automaker Honda, Honda Cars India Ltd (HCIL) started operations in India in 1995. The company set up its first manufacturing unit in India in Greater Noida, U.P in 1997 and in 2014, Honda India inaugurated its second plant in Tapukara, Rajasthan. Spread across 150 acres, the Greater Noida facility has the capacity to produce 120,000 units annually. Built across a vast area of 450 acres, Honda’s Tapukara plant is the first car manufacturing facility in Rajasthan and has the capacity to manufacture 120,000 units annually, culminating the overall annual production to 240,000 units.

Honda India’s product portfolio consists of hatchbacks, sedans, MPV and SUVs. Launched in 1998, Honda City was the first model for India which continues to be one of the most popular Honda cars in domestic market. Realising the lack of diesel variants in its product range, the company developed 1.5 litre i-DTEC diesel engine which is currently used in some of the Honda cars in India. Honda Amaze was the first model to get the 1.5 litre i-DTEC diesel engine followed by Honda City, Honda Mobilio and Honda BR-V.

Stylish look, no car can beat Jazz in terms of comfort level when it comes to seating and boot space. Best car for city and long journeys. Enginee performance is good with Honda iVTECH. Mileage comes around 16 in narrow highways and around 17 to 18km per L in national highways best in its segment.

Honda WRV Battery explosion and fire

I have Honda WRV 2018 model, on 16th June 2021 battery of my car expolded in my garage while I was sleeping. Car caught fire in middle of night, luckily my brother was sleeping near garage so he woke up and we found about fire. We controlled fire timely otherwise whole of my house would have burnt. I was very frightened by this as lives of my family was on risk. In morning I contacted Honda service center and sent car to them for review. I mentioned everything to them along with photos of car and burnt fingers of my father. Next day I got call from their engineer and he informed me that this issue was due to short circuit and it was your fault while I have already informed them that car was parked in garage and locked. But they assumed as per their convenience. I was just requesting them to find root cause so this issue doesn't occur in future but they didn't do anything and assumed everything. Now I am really frightened to use car or keep it at my home but I don't know what will happen. I did some
