How is the design of the Kawasaki Ninja H2R?

It took Kawasaki 3 years to craft the Kawasaki Ninja H2, which was launched in 2015, followed by the launch of the Ninja H2R, which came in 2019 and made the H2 look slower.

In simpler words, the design is sturdy, stylish and shows off the essence of the superbikes with its sharp design and wide tyres.

Appearance-wise the bike looks similar to the Ninja H2 model as it retains its heavy design elements. Kawasaki has equipped superchargers in its H2 models, and H2R also boasts ferocious qualities due to its centrifugal-type supercharger ability. It has its self-lubricating ability along with ceramic bearings, which enables it to spin at 14,000 rpm.

The superbike has been wielded with precision to provide the best balance, making it fun riding on the tracks even with a heavy body of over 200 kgs. 

How does the Kawasaki Ninja H2R ride?

As we have mentioned above, the superbike is meant only for expert bikers. However, in the first ride, it often overwhelms even the most experienced riders who have claimed to say, “Never rode anything like this before!”

Coming to the specifications, the ideal height of 830 mm makes it possible for even an average-height rider to enjoy the experience. The sitting stance in the Ninja H2R is a bit on the aggressive side which is expected because of its features and ability as a superbike. Hence, one can only ride it for a few hours at a stretch before feeling the strain.

The suspensions incorporate an inverted fork and also include rebound and compression damping in the front.  Along with the new Uni-Trak, Öhlins TTX36 gas-charged shock matted with a piggyback reservoir in the rear end balances out the bike to deliver its high performance.

Moreover, while riding the bike, you come to understand Kawasaki’s inspiration behind such a design. It was crafted to give an ideal sitting stance for riding such an ultra-high-speed experience. The hip-supporting pad braces the rider through enormous acceleration. You can also adjust the hip support to 15 mm based on your seat requirements. Hence, the customizable option adds to the ride experience of the superbike.

The exhaust sound is loud and will give you goosebumps. As soon as you give the Ninja H2R a start and a little bit of throttle, it is ready to fly.

How comfortable is the Kawasaki Ninja H2R?

The fact that it’s not a road bike also ensures that the superbike is a ‘rider’ only bike. Kawasaki states that the bike can carry only 110 Kg. So if you’re well built and are equipped with a helmet, tracksuit, and other gears and have had a healthy meal, the rider alone is enough to exceed the weight capacity. Naturally, there is no pillion seat.

While riding, you will be overwhelmed with the experience, but that doesn’t hamper the comfort. Indeed, you cannot use it for an extended cruise because it’s not legal, but you can enjoy multiple track rounds before the aggressive stance feels exhausting.  

The Ninja H2R offers adequate comfort due to the ergonomically enhanced seat design. The rider’s seat height is measured at 830 mm, making the rider’s position reasonably aggressive and well-suited based on the bike’s specifications.

The suspensions of the bike are a perfect fit to complement over 300 horse-power of the superbike. With the rear featuring the new Uni-Trak, Öhlins TTX36 gas-charged shock matted with a piggyback reservoir combined with the inverted fork, including rebound and compression damping in the front, the ride feels wild but smooth!

How is the tech in Kawasaki Ninja H2R?

Being a Kawasaki Ninja model, you can expect the H2R to be a technological masterpiece. With technical features like oil jet, which ensures the engine is kept simple and compact. It offers cooling oil to the components of the engine, transmission, and supercharger.

Kawasaki has introduced an electronic throttle actuation system to reduce emissions and ensure the smooth running of the engine. It allows the ECU to control the volume of air and fuel delivered to the engine for ideal engine output.

How is the mileage of the Kawasaki Ninja H2R?

Kawasaki claims to offer a mileage of 15 kmpl with a fuel tank capacity of 17 litres. With a full tank, you can expect to cover nearly 250 kilometres of target non-stop on a track circuit.

How is the performance of the Kawasaki Ninja H2R?

With the Ninja H2R, Kawasaki has opened doors to a new breed of high-performance superbikes, which, along with the horsepower, attacks with its tremendous torque.

The Kawasaki Ninja bike comes with its nearly 1000 cc liquid-cooled engine, which gives an enormous power of 310 bhp at 14,000 rpm, facilitated by the supercharger. Moreover, the beast also generates peak torque of 165 Nm at 12500 rpm.

You can guess at the superbike’s high performance when you realise that it is equipped with a dog-ring type transmission commonly found in or Moto GP. Yes, it was developed in association with the Kawasaki Racing team.

Is the Kawasaki Ninja H2R a good value?

At Rs. 79.9 lakh, the Kawasaki Ninja H2R is unarguably expensive, and only the elite section can afford to buy the superbike and maintain it. Moreover, it is not a road bike. Hence you can only use it for tracks, making it not very convenient for the Indian market.

However, when you consider its design, performance, ergonomics, or style, it is one of the best automobiles globally and arguably the best superbike in the market.

The colour palette, which incorporates the auto-scratch heel technology coupled with the finish, gives the bike an ultra-premium feel.

Adding to this is that Kawasaki coupled the technology of MotoGP, Formula One, and aviation technology to create this ballistic missile of a bike. It can touch the range of 350 kmph (if you can handle it), then the price is justifiable.
