How is the design of the Honda Activa 6G?

The design for the New Activa 6G underwent some changes from the previous Activa model. Though the outer bodywork looks quite similar, the new scooter from Honda gets a redesigned front fender, silver or chrome accent on the front apron and a single Air intake on the side panels. At the rear end of the scooter, a section is elongated to accommodate the new external fuel filler cap and a modified rear grab rail. The switchgear in the front has a pass light switch and an Engine Kill switch. The LED light in the headlamp cluster is available only with the Deluxe variant. The length of the scooter is 1833 mm, width 697 mm, and height 1156 mm. The ground clearance is 171 mm, and the wheelbase is kept at 1260 mm. The seat length is modified and is now 692 mm.

How does the Honda Activa 6G ride?

Riders can experience smooth and comfortable riding with the new 109.51 cc, single-cylinder, BS6 engine has an improved power delivery. The Underbone frame of the chassis offers stability to the scooter. What's more, is, the telescopic suspension in the front and 3-Step Adjustable Spring Loaded Hydraulic rear suspension, and the 12 inches sheet metal wheels maintain the movement of the scooter. The wheelbase is now 22 mm longer and the ground clearance is increased by 18 mm than its previous version and is 2 kg lighter than its BS4 counterparts. The brakes, with a Combi-Braking system and the suspension of the scooter, allows for a safe and hassle-free tour.

How comfortable is the Honda Activa 6G?

To access the external fuel filler, you don't need to come down off your scooter and use the new switch which is now available next to the ignition slot. This switch is used to open the seat as well. The instrument console is now an analogue which was a semi-digital one in its previous version. The seat length is increased and made comfortable for the rider and pillion. The floorboard is 23 mm longer, and the under-seat storage space is 18 litres. With the front telescopic suspension, riders can move through rough roads. The 90/90 tubeless tires with bigger front wheels offer a comfortable ride on every uneven path.

The eSP Technology of Activa 6G helps in a silent engine start, increases mileage, and reduces friction. The ACG Starter Motor gets rid of gear meshing, gear noise, and reduces maintenance. Another technological advancement is the new Tumble flow technology that helps in increasing the turbulence of the air-fuel mixture. It also improves combustion and fuel efficiency. The programmed fuel injection system allows injecting optimum fuel that results in consistent power output and higher mileage. The scooter gets an analogue instrument console where the speedometer, fuel gauge, and odometer are analogue units. One can start and stop the scooter anytime by pressing the engine start or stop switch.

How’s the mileage of the Honda Activa 6G?

The fuel efficiency of the Activa 6G scooter has increased by 10% in comparison to the previous Activa 5G variant. The higher mileage is offered by the Programmed Fuel-injection technology of the motor. It is claimed to have a mileage of 45 - 55 kmpl. This mileage range can be affected by the riders performance and the condition of the roads. The fuel tank capacity is 5.3 Litre.

How is the performance of the Honda Activa 6G?

The 109.51 cc, single-cylinder engine of Honda Activa 6G now meets the new BS6 emission standards and has an automatic transmission. The power delivery is improved by the Programmed Fuel Injection Technology, Enhanced Smart Power Technology and friction reduction technology of the motor. This motor produces a maximum power of 7.68 bhp at 8000 rpm and 8.79 Nm @ 5250 rpm peak torque. The scooter delivers better lower to mid-range performance in city riding conditions. The conventional motor is replaced by an ACG starter generator, which offers a silent start operation. The programmed fuel injection system is sensor-based and helps in producing consistent power output and higher mileage.
