Audi has officially pulled the wraps off the new 2022 Audi A8 facelift flagship luxury sedan. The updated model now comes with bolder styling, a host of new and revised features, and a portfolio of new tech. In fact, with the new A8, the Ingolstadt-based luxury carmaker has also revived the Horch brand, by introducing a top-of-the-line Audi A8 L Horch model. However, the Horch trim will be exclusively sold in China. The new top-end trim will allow the A8 to go up against the likes of the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class, Bentley Flying Spur, and Genesis G90L Limousine among others. Audi will begin the sale of the car in Europe in December 2021. India is likely to get in some time in 2022.

Kia is set to commence accepting bookings for the new EV6 from May 26 with only limited numbers available in the first batch. As we had previously reported the first batch is limited to just 100 units with India getting the GT Line model only. However, the EV6 GT Line will not be limited to just an all-wheel drive variant. As per a leaked brochure, Kia's electric car will be available with two powertrain options – rear-wheel drive (RWD) and the more powerful all-wheel drive (AWD). Both powertrain set-ups will be paired with a 77.4kWh battery pack with the RWD model pushing range up to 528 km (WLTP) on a single charge. The AWD has a shorter range of up to 425 km courtesy of its more power-consuming dual motor set-up.

The sixth-generation Volkswagen Polo facelift has been unveiled in international markets and we have to say it looks pretty stylish adoring some of the ID.3 design elements. As already seen in the leaked image, the new Volkswagen Polo now sports a new dual-beam headlight conjoined with LED DRL strip running across the grille. The bumper has been revised as well, making for a more aggressive new look, while it also gets a new design for the alloy wheels. While modifications to the front and profile have been subtle, the rear has received some significant updates, starting with the new split-LED taillights and a more prominent VW and Polo badging.

The S204 will be the Indianised version of the Ssangyong XLV and will get styling, feature and powertrain upgrades for the Indian market. Quite customarily, the test mule is heavily camouflaged but elements like the family grille, dummy headlamps and steel rims (typically seen on Mahindra test cars) give away that it's a Mahindra. Then a detailed look will help you notice design characters like the sculpting on the haunches, identical to what we have seen on the XUV300 and on the Ssangyong XLV, similar wing mirrors and the rear quarter glass. Moreover, the model looks bigger going by its silhouette. That said, just like the S204 gets a face of its own sporting the Mahindra family grille, a comparatively sleeker airdam and tight overhangs, even the rear has been revamped and the license plate area has been moved onto the tailgate. The tailgate itself is more sculpted and it also gets the shark fin antenna along with roof rails.

New Mahindra TUV300 is expected to be launched this year in 2021. Mahindra had previously discontinued the Sub 4-metre sports utility vehicle with BS4 compliant. However, the facelift of the new Mahindra TUV300 saw how the manufacturers have modified the emission norm and upgraded it to be a BS6 compliant model.

Volkswagen India has revealed the new Virtus compact sedan that makes its global debut. The all-new offering is the newest car to be built on the MQB A0 IN platform and is the fourth car on the platform under the SAVWIPL umbrella. The new Volkswagen Virtus will be offered with engine options and three transmission choices, while also carrying the coveted GT badge on the more powerful versions. Volkswagen has commenced accepting pre-bookings at its sales touchpoints pan India with the launch scheduled later in the year.

Hyundai has finally unveiled the 2021 Hyundai Tucson and fourth-generation model of the SUV is a world different from its predecessor. The new Tucson gets a bold, radical design, following Hyundai's design language of 'sensual sportiness'. The Hyundai Tucson may not be a significant volume garner for Hyundai in India, but it is the Korean brand's second bestseller in U.S. and European markets. And that pretty much explains Hyundai's approach with the design and the level of sophistication. Before we go ahead, the third-generation Tucson recently got a facelift in India and we expect the new-generation model to come to our shores, maybe by 2022.

First showcased at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show, the Tata Altroz EV is built on the all-new Agile Light Flexible Advanced (ALFA) platform and it will employ the company's Ziptron powertrain technology. While the technical specifications are yet to be revealed, Tata Motors has confirmed that all its future EVs with Ziptron technology will come with a minimum range of 250 km on a single charge, and will be equipped with a Lithium-Ion battery with IP-67 certification and 8-years warranty. At present, the company is planning to launch the Altroz EV in the first half of 2021, however, due to the coronavirus pandemic, there might be some delay.

The new Mahindra XUV500 will get a Mercedes-Benz style large, single-unit display with split screens for the touchscreen infotainment system and the instrument cluster.The upcoming next-generation Mahindra XUV500 has been spotted testing in India again, and this time around we get a glimpse of the SUV's new digital instrument cluster. Some of the earlier spy photos had revealed that the new XUV500 will get a Mercedes-Benz style large, single-unit display with split screens for the touchscreen infotainment system and the instrument cluster. In fact, the display on the new Mahindra XUV500 is expected to be wider than the 12.25-inch unit on Mercedes-Benz models. The unit is expected to offer a tonne of extra information like tyre pressure, distance to empty, and maybe even maps.

The new Mahindra Scorpio N is built on a new body-on-frame platform and will be equipped with modern features and the latest technology in addition to new design both externally, and internally. The exterior of the new Mahindra Scorpio-N is quite bold based on the same boxy silhouette from before. In front, the new Mahindra Scorpio-N features a new grille, unlike the Mahindra XUV700, with six slats and the new Mahindra logo at the centre, below which is a honeycomb mesh for the air dams. The LED twin-pod projector headlights are a new addition to the Scorpio-N and so are the C-shaped LED fog lights. The hood gets strong lines accentuating its SUV stance. There's also a gentle dash of chrome at the front, as well as on the side of the door handles. The black cladding and the silver highlights add to the overall rugged appeal of the SUV, while the chrome accents on the beltline add a touch of premiumness. The new Mahindra Scorpio-N sits on a pair of 18-inch alloy wheels.

Hyundai Motor India is likely to launch the facelifted version of its popular subcompact SUV, the Hyundai Venue, soon. Select Hyundai dealers have already started accepting pre-bookings for the Venue facelift, for a fully refundable token amount of Rs. 11,000. In fact, some of the dealers we spoke to have told us that the SUV is likely to go on sale in India as early as June 2022. Interestingly, Hyundai has also sent out a 'Block Your Date' to the media for June 19, however, the company has not revealed what is it for. So, we would expect it is related to the upcoming Venue facelift.

BMW India recently joined the EV race by launching its first all-electric SUV, the BMW iX. The Bavarian carmaker is prepping to expand its electric line-up by introducing the new i4. It is essentially an electric version of the 4 Series Gran Coupe. The electric sedan made its debut earlier this year. It is offered in two variants- eDrive40 and the sportier M50 sedan. While the former makes 330 bhp and 430 Nm of peak torque, the latter is good for 529 bhp.

Spy pictures of the undisguised new-gen Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza have surfaced online ahead of its official launch, giving us a glimpse of what the production model looks like. The leaked images suggest that the upcoming model will be extensively updated inside out. A prototype model was recently spotted performing a road test in India. However, the test mule didn't reveal any details about the design. The subcompact SUV has been in the market for over 5 years, and this is the best time for the company to introduce a new-generation model.

Citroen today officially unveiled its next product for the Indian market, which will be a locally made B+ segment premium hatchback called the Citroen C3. Yes, it shares its name with the C3 sold in Europe, however, the model coming to India is not the same car, in fact, it's based on the company's new Common Modular Platform (CMP), which has been developed for emerging markets like India and South America. The C3 is the first of the three new models, based on the same platform, which are coming to India as part of the company's C-Cubed programme. Here's all you need to know about the new Citroen C3.

The Toyota Rav4 is expected to eventually arrive on Indian shores at an estimated price of Rs. 25-28 lakh, making it a costlier luxury 5-seater crossover. It will arrive as a CBU (Completely Built Unit) and reports peg the expected launch by end-2021 or a little later down the line. Toyota India has tested the car extensively and the latest generation model is the same one shown at the 2018 New York Auto Show. The Japanese automaker may launch the Rav4 as an import initially before local assembly is considered for lowering costs, on the basis of overall market response.

Mahindra is planning to bring in an electric version of the XUV300 subcompact SUV. Back then we had mentioned that the electric SUV will arrive sometime in 2022, and now, sources in the company have told us that the production version of the Mahindra XUV300 Electric will debut at the 2020 Auto Expo. Codenamed S210, the upcoming electric version of the XUV300 will be offered in two variants - standard and long-range version, offering a range of up to 200 km and 350-400 km respectively, on a single charge.

A few weeks after the presentation of the Maserati Gran Turismo Folgore, the company's first electric, and the debut of the new Grecale SUV, Maserati is ready to present another new model and, as anticipated by the numerous clues dropped on social networks in recent days, this time it is about a Spyder. On the International Day of Light, the house of the Trident announces its name, it will be called MC20 Cielo, and the world premiere will be on May 25, 2022.

The Mahindra eXUV300 is the all-electric version of the carmaker’s popular subcompact SUV, the XUV300. The Mahindra eXUV300 concept made its global debut at the Auto Expo 2020, and it is set to become the company’s first electric SUV from the home-grown automaker, after the eKUV100. The XUV300 electric comes with an electric motor, powered by a Lithium-Ion battery, driving the front wheels of the SUV. The eXUV300 is based in the company’s new electric powertrain platform that will also be used by SsangYong in the European Markets.

The 2021 Hyundai Kona Electric facelift gets a redesgined front that looks more distinctive, while the cabin features more tech and features over the outgoing version. It was back in September that Hyundai revealed the Kona facelift with the new N Line bodykit for the world and we now have the electric version of the compact SUV in the facelifted avatar. The 2021 Hyundai Kona Electric facelift was unveiled recently and the model gets a comprehensive styling refresh and packs in a host of new technological upgrades to make the model more appealing. The new Kona Electric is also the more important version from an India standpoint and we expect the model to arrive in the country sometime next year.

Recently a new test mule of the upcoming new-gen Maruti Suzuki Alto was spotted testing in India, giving us a closer look at the new small car. The new Alto is expected to be launched sometime in the second half of 2022.

The Next-Generation Audi A3 sedan has been unveiled and boy it doesn't get any better than this. Borrowing design cues from the new A6, the fourth-generation A3 looks bolder, more stylish, and, it now also comes with a host of new and smart features like connected car technology and a driver assistance system. Audi has also refined the suspension tuning to ensure an improved driving experience, and globally, the car will be available with a choice of two TFSI and one TDI engine.

The electric car manufacturer is offering five models in the home market that includes the Model S, Model 3, Model X, Roadster and Model Y. Talking about the Tesla Model 3, the electric car is offered in three variants - Performance, Long Range AWD & Standard Plus. The performance variant is capable of hitting 0 to 60 mph in just 3.6 seconds whereas the standard & long-range variants take 5.3 seconds and 4.4 seconds, respectively. Tesla Model 3 is offered in three variants - Standard, Long Range & Performance.

Jeep India is planning to launch a range of new models in the country, and in 2022 alone, we'll see the arrival of at least two new SUVs. The company has already announced the all-new Jeep Meridian three-row SUV, which will be launched by mid-2022. Recently, talking about upcoming models during a media round table, Nipun Mahajan, Head of Jeep Brand - India said that the fifth-generation Grand Cherokee SUV will also be launched in the second half of this year.

The 2021 MG ZS petrol SUV has been spotted testing again, and this time around, the car was caught on the camera by an enthusiast in Mumbai, Maharashtra. MG Motor India already sells the full-electric version of the compact SUV, which recently received an update for the 2021 model year, featuring some new additions, and you can read about them on the carandbike website. The company had announced at the 2020 Auto Expo that it also plans to launch the internal combustion engine (ICE) version of the SUV, and since then multiple prototypes have been spotted testing in India.

The all-new Mercedes-Benz EQS made its global debut earlier this month. Interestingly, the electric sedan now has been listed on the official website with the 'Coming Soon' title, which suggests that it could be launched in the Indian market this year. The model page listing has also revealed several key details and specifications of the electric vehicle ahead of its launch. It will be the second all-electric model from Stuttgart-based luxury carmaker, after the EQC electric SUV that was launched last year.

Lexus has recently released a new teaser video for its upcoming UX crossover that is all set to make its global debut at the Geneva Motor Show, in March 2018. The Toyota-owned premium car brand will be showcasing the production guise of the new Lexus UX 250h hybrid model and it will most likely be in its top-end F-Sport version. The teaser video gives us a glimpse of the rear portion of the car which comes with the, now quite popular, wide single unit LED taillamp.

The updated Mahindra TUV300 Plus is BS6 transition takes place. Mahindra is also working on the next-generation TUV300, which was also spotted testing in India sometime back. In addition to that, 2020 will also see the launch of the new-generation Mahindra Thar off-road SUV.

Volvo introduced India to the XC40 Recharge all-electric SUV in March this year and then the company said that it would begin pre-bookings for the car by June and deliveries would begin by October this year. However, those plans have now changed and the XC40 Recharge electric SUV will now be launched in the first quarter of 2022. The SUV is the company's first all-electric offering in the country and will come to India as a completely built unit (CBU).

The 2021 Mercedes-AMG GLA 45 gets the famed 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine that develops 382 bhp and 480 Nm of peak torque, and can sprint from 0-100 kmph in just 4.3 seconds.The new GLA 45 is the third musketeer alongside the A 45 and the CLA 45 in the Mercedes-AMG A family and packs in the same M139 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine that develops 382 bhp and 480 Nm of peak torque, while paired with the 8-speed dual-clutch transmission. Power is sent to all four wheels via the 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system.

The all-new Skoda Kamiq compact SUV which is set to debut at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show in March 2019 has been revealed in sketches. The Skoda Kamiq will be an urban SUV which is primarily aimed at the European markets and is expected to make its way to our market sometime in 2020. It will be rivaling the likes of the Hyundai Creta in India which has been the top-runner of the compact SUV segment for quite some time. 

The Jaguar XF Facelift was unveiled globally in October this year and we are expecting this model to go on sale in India in 2021. It will take you a detailed look to know what all has changed in the new model and on close observation you'll notice that it gets slimmer quad LED headlights now with individual DRL fringes for each unit instead of the J-blade DRL seen on its predecessor. The grille too has been updated and gets diamond detailing with chrome finish while the massive side curtains bring in a sense of sportiness to the design. However, it's on the inside where the Jaguar XF feels really new as the cabin has been reasonably upgraded. Taking centre stage is the new curved 11.4-inch HD touchscreen that gives you access to the new Pivi Pro infotainment system. Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and surround camera view among others are the standard features and it also gets over-the-air (OTA) updates. Then it also gets a new fully-digital instrument cluster and a conventional gear lever replacing the rotary knob of the outgoing model. The drivetrain options on the new Jaguar XF remain unchanged. First up, it's the rear-wheel drive 2.0-litre, four-cylinder engine that puts out 243 bhp, and then is the all-wheel drive iteration where the same powertrain churns out 292 bhp. While the RWD version clocks triple digit speeds in 6.5 seconds, the AWD version does so in just 5.8 seconds.

The Maruti Suzuki Jimny was showcased in the 2020 Auto Expo in India and has captivated several admirers. The regular 3 door model is available in the international market and the 5-door model is about to exclusively launch in India. This model is popular for its retro looks and aggressive performance. Suzuki Jimny is now in its fourth generation in the international market and was first launched for sale in 1970. This powerful model gets charged from 1.5-litre petrol mill paired with 5-speed manual gearbox. The mileage offered may range between 15 kmpl to 20 kmpl depending on the driving conditions.

Honda has already disclosed its plans to bring in new SUVs to the Indian market and had confirmed the HR-V for our market. The HR-V most likely will be the next big launch from Honda's stable and we have got the latest spy images of the compact SUV. The Honda HR-V was today spotted testing in the capital by carandbike reader, Mayukh Bhattacharya who sent these pictures to us. The test car is heavily camouflaged and not an ounce of the sheet metal is exposed, not even the wheels. However, what helped us identify the car is the silhouette of it along with the test car (red) Noida license plate where all Honda-owned cars are registered.

The 2022 Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace looks sharper and more aggressive than the outgoing model and gets updated with new tech and features on the inside.

BMW Group is preparing for the global debut of the new BMW X1 SUV, and ahead of its slated premiere, a BMW dealer from France previewed the silhouette, revealing the outline of the crossover SUV. The new BMW X1, which will be revealed at the end of this year, and launched early next year, will come with comprehensive updates to its exterior, interior, features, as well updated powertrains. Additionally, the 2023 BMW X1 will join its electrified sibling, the BMW iX1 in its global portfolio. India is also expected to receive the new BMW X1 later next year, as it takes on the Volvo XC40, Mercedes-Benz GLA, and Audi Q2 in the Indian premium compact SUV market.

Renault K-ZE is essentially the production version of the Kwid EV, which was revealed at this year’s Auto Expo in February. Before making its India debut, the car was initially revealed at the 2019 Shanghai Motor Show in China. The new K-ZE is based on the Kwid’s CMF-A platform. Though the electric version is limited to the Chinese market, it is being evaluated for the other global markets like European.

The new-generation Fabia gets significant updates over the outgoing model not only in terms of looks, but also on the inside and in the powertrain department.The new-generation Skoda Fabia has been unveiled and it is underpinned by the MQB A0 platform. Now the Czech carmaker is also bringing an Indian derivative of the platform - the MQB A0 IN to our market and so we expect Skoda to consider getting back the Fabia nameplate to India. The new-generation Fabia is a leap over the outgoing model not only in terms of looks, but also on the inside and in the powertrain department. Kia is likely to launch the Rio in India and it will be  loaded to the brim with a ton of features and technology – in line with what is expected of a modern Rs. 10 lakh car. Expect LED headlamps and taillights, a large touchscreen and navigation system with the likes of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and climate control on most variants in Kia intends to make an impact on the Indian consumer.

MG Motor has announced its plans to launch an electric SUV in India by 2020. The company has already said that its first car in India is likely to come in the second quarter of 2019 and now it has announced that its second launch in the market will be an electric SUV which will come in just under a year from the launch of its first car.

Bentley says that similar to the recently launched Continental GT, the all-new Flying Spur is also a ground-up development that offers superior technology and craftsmanship to deliver high levels of performance and refinement. In fact, the four-door sport sedan will come with the same 6.0-litre twin-turbo W12 engine that powers the new Continental GT. The motor is tuned to churn out a massive 625 bhp and develops a monstrous 897 Nm of torque. Having said that, Bentley is expected to a couple more engine options later in the future - a smaller 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 that makes 542 bhp and 770 Nm torque, along with a 2.9-litre V6 plug-in hybrid engine as well.

In June 2016, Great Wall Motor (GWM) announced setting up an R&D centre in Bengaluru confirming its foray into the Indian auto market and almost four years later we'll now get to see what all products it's been considering. We already know about the Haval Concept H SUV that the carmaker will debut at the 2020 Auto Expo and there were plenty anticipations about an electric vehicle as well. The company has now confirmed that the EV which is to be unveiled at the Expo is an electric SUV, in fact an electric iteration of the Havel SUV which is expected to go on sale in 2025.

Tata Motors has taken the wraps of the all-new Tata Curvv EV Coupe concept. Just like it's other models, even the Tata Curvv EV Coupe adores the brand's signature design philosophy and is based on the new Gen 2 architecture. The new Tata Curvv EV Coupe Concept is also longer than the subcompact Nexon EV and will likely measures at around 4.3 metre in length, while it wheelbase too is about 50 mm longer. The bigger wheelbase also comes to its advantage by packing in a bigger battery pack which will deliver more drive range of around 500 km and better power output. It will go against the likes of the MG ZS EV and Hyundai Kona Electric in the Indian market and the production version of the Tata Curvv EV Coupe is expected to hit the road in 2024.

The all-new three-row electric SUV concept also debuts the company's brand new 'Born Electric' platform and the production-spec model is expected to hit the road in 2025.
