How is the design of MG ZS EV?

The MG ZS EV does not have a resemblance to its sibling, the bigger Hector SUV. However, there is strong and prominent MG badging while the production model of the ZS EV is exactly similar to the concept prototype with the sole exception being the Internet Inside badging at the rear. Overall, the ZS EV is not the strongest of lookers although it does exude a smart and clean design vibe.

How does the MG ZS EV drive?

MG Motor has worked hard to lower range-based anxiety amongst drivers. There is the KERS (Kinetic energy recovery system) whereby the battery is chared while braking and decelerating. The ZS drives well and linearly decelrates in the highest KERS stetings. Battery performnace is impacted by the driving mode. The ride quality is good and the suspension system can tackle broken and rough surfaces quite easily.

While rear comfort is not exactly the best in class, there is good thigh and lumbar support while headroom and legroom are also good enough for three occupants to sit comforably for shorter distances. Leather has been extensively used throughout the cabin while material quality is also top-notch. There is the responsive 8.0 inch touch screen system along with KERS and drive mode buttons. Ergonomics are stellar with the exception only being the USB ports that are positioned under the central console. The rear has ample room as mentioned and seat comfort is better than several rivals in this price band.

The MG ZS EV is a connected car with its i-Smart app functioning to set alerts for exceeding speed limits, finding nearby charging stations and setting geo-fencing among other features. There is the iSMART voice command setup with embedded SIM like the Hector SUV along with the PM 2.5 filter alongside.
