About JAWA Perak

With its low-slung and floating single seat with an integrated taillight, teardrop fuel tank, and low-set and broad handlebar, the new Jawa Perak maintains the bobber design. The pillion seat is optional. The design is distinctly Jawa, with the bullet shell shaped headlight, long forks, and a 1485 mm wheelbase. The bike receives a sinister blacked-out paint job that encompasses the engine and spoked wheels.

The biggest difference between the Jawa Perak and other JAWA bikes is the bigger engine. The bike is powered by a 334 cc DOHC liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine that produces around 30.22 bhp and 32.74 Nm of peak torque. The engine has been bored out to provide additional power and utilises the same 293 cc mill as the Jawa and the Jawa Forty Two. The motor comes with a 6-speed gearbox and is BS6 certified, making it the first Jawa to comply with the upcoming emission standards.

The front suspension is handled by telescopic forks, while a mono-shock unit operates the rear suspension instead of dual shocks on previous JAWA bikes. Twin disc brakes with dual-channel ABS come standard for stopping power. The swingarm is also longer than the previous Jawa motorcycles.

JAWA Perak Expert Review

How is the design of the Jawa Perak?

The Jawa Perak gets a bobber design that is low-slung and features a single floating seat. There are integrated taillights, a gasoline tank in the shape of a teardrop, and broad handlebars. On the bike, there is an option for a pillion seat. The design is inspired by Jawa motorcycles, and the headlight is in the shape of a bullet shell. Black paint has been used to cover the body. This bike's engine is more powerful than comparable Jawa bikes from the preceding generation. The engine is 334 cc, much like the Jawa 42. The suspension is consists of telescopic forks up front with a mono-shock unit at the rear.

How does the Jawa Perak ride?

Except for the fact that the Perak has some of the best performance, there isn't much difference between the Perak and the Jawa 42. The motorbike travels at high speeds for extended lengths on highways with no variation in riding comfort. The top speed is 125 kilometres per hour. Due to a pleasant ride and smooth handling even on bumpy or undulated roads, the entire experience of its riding is more than adequate.

How comfortable is Jawa Perak?

The Perak handles just as well as the Jawa 42. There isn't much of a difference in terms of control or vibration. The ground clearance should have been greater, which would have resulted in smoother cornering. Perak is in command and confident as it navigates the curves and turns.

Jawa Perak is a cruiser bike, and its rider's seat is well-cushioned, which is comfortable for long-distance travelling but not suitable for off-road rides. Moreover, we would suggest you test ride once so that you can check its comfort and performance.

How is the tech?

Following are the tech features of the Jawa Perak:

  • Analogue speedometer
  • Fuel warning indicator
  • Fuel gauge
  • Low oil indicator
  • Low battery indicator
  • Engine kill switch
  • Digital trip meter
  • Pass light
  • Dual-channel ABS
  • Twin exhaust

How's the mileage of the Jawa Perak?

The 14-litre fuel tank on the Jawa Perak is the same as on the other models in the range. On the other hand, Perak is significantly more powerful than the other two; therefore, we should expect slightly lower fuel economy statistics. The bobber-style motorbike is expected to have a mileage of approximately 35kmpl.

How is the performance of Jawa Perak?

There are no bikes in its price range that do a better job of making a stylistic statement on wheels than the Jawa Perak. It's wonderful to be able to ride with a more flexible engine. Unfortunately, the build quality is still lacking, and the tight riding position prevents you from having a nice bobber experience.

Is the Jawa Perak good value for money?

JAwa's Perak BS6 cruiser is a single-seater cruiser. The bike's major selling feature was supposed to be its unique design. Jawa motorcycles are well-known for being excellent road cruisers. The firm has also performed admirably in terms of sales and has established a positive brand image in the country. Not only is the Perak the most affordable bobber in India, but it's also got that title in the bag by a huge margin. So, if you are looking for a single-seater bike in this price range, it could be a good value proposition.

Final Verdict on Perak

Handling the bike driving straight is not compromised. Perak is an affordable bike at under 2 lakh. The bike has great appeal and a visual treat. The bike rides well and this bike is for those who are not going for much modification.

Opinions & Assumptions

The engine of the Perak is with the ability to displace more and perform better than a standard Jawa or a Jawa 42. The engine is 293cc and there is 30bhp of power on 31Nm peak torque. The twin exhausts belt out a baritone sound when the engine is revved up after starting. The bike has good stamina and lasting value. It appears quite presentable and strong. It's going to draw the crowds who value the charm of the old classics.

JAWA Perak Vs. Competition

Jawa Perak's price in Delhi is Rs 2.06 Lakh (ex-showroom price), whereas the Royal Enfield Meteor 350 price in Delhi is Rs 1.84 Lakh (ex-showroom). The 334 cc engine in the Perak makes 30.22 bhp and 32. 74 Nm. It gives a mileage of about 35 kmpl with a fuel tank capacity of 14 litres. On the other hand, the power and torque of Meteor 350 stand at 20.4 bhp and 27 Nm, respectively, with its 349 cc motor. The Meteor 350 gives a mileage of about 41.88 kmpl and has a fuel tank capacity of 15 litres. Jawa offers the Perak in 1 colour, whereas the Royal Enfield Meteor 350 comes in 7 colours. Value-wise, the Royal Enfield Meteor 350 is ahead although the Jawa offers the distinct bobber niche and higher power.

Jawa Perak's price is Rs 2.06 Lakh (ex-showroom price), whereas the Honda H Ness CB350 price is Rs 1.9 Lakh (ex-showroom). The 334 cc engine in the Perak makes 30.22 bhp and 32. 74Nm. It gives a mileage of about 35 kmpl with a fuel tank capacity of 14 litres. Honda H Ness CB350 gives a mileage of about 42 kmpl and has a fuel tank capacity of 15 litres. Jawa offers the Perak in 1 colour, whereas the Honda H Ness CB350 comes in 6 colours. Once again, the Perak offers higher performance with a slightly higher premium although the Honda offers better mileage.

Jawa Perak's price is Rs 2.06 Lakh (ex-showroom price), whereas the Bajaj Avenger Cruiser 220 price is Rs 1.23 lakh. The 334 cc engine in the Perak makes 30.22 bhp and 32. 74Nm. It gives a mileage of about 35 kmpl with a fuel tank capacity of 14 litres. On the other hand, the power and torque of the Bajaj Avenger Cruiser 220 stand at 18.76 bhp and 17.55 Nm, respectively, with a 220 cc engine efficiency. Bajaj Avenger Cruiser 220 gives a mileage of about 40 kmpl and has a fuel tank capacity of 13 litres. Jawa offers the Perak in 1 colour, whereas the Bajaj Avenger Cruiser 220 comes in 2 colours. The Avenger is of course substantially cheaper and makes much lower power and torque, while offering higher fuel economy in the bargain. The Jawa Perak, on the other hand, represents a chance to snap up an affordable bobber with excellent and way higher power and torque figures albeit with slightly lower mileage and a way bigger engine.

I like this bike and purchase java perak..i m waiting this bike ....
Good looks and acceleration but super uncomfortable

After 6 months of booking, i got my perak. The bike got an appealing look. I was attracted with its bobber style. I have bought it for daily commuting. I am the first owner of perak in j&k. Acceleration and performance wise its pretty good. O-100 in just about 8 seconds. Dual channel abs totally helps in controlling the bike when you are riding at more than 100 kmph. I am riding this bike continuously from the past 20 days and thats the pros i felt about this bike. Now talking about the cons. First thing first, the odometer position is totally way forward, while riding, the rider cannot see the down side of the odometer as its face is way forward. Next thing, suspensions are poor, if you are riding at more than 50kmph, it cannot protect you from even small potholes, you will feel super uncomfortable. At even 25kmph, you cannot run over a speed breaker, as the bike will hit the ground due to low ground clearance. Its a super hard bike with poor suspension. Next thing, the horn is very bad as compared to its look. Even activa scooter has better horn than perak. Another thing, the mileage i am getting is about 20-21 kmpl while company claims it to be 35 kmpl and thats too low. Last thing, the side stand is small and it cannot stand on off-road surface as it has a risk to fall down.Final words, its a small ride city bike, that can only be ridden on flat and clean road with no bumps at all (which is not possible on indian roads). So buy only if you are super comfortable in accepting big shocks on small pits for spending around 2.5 lacs on a jawa bobber bike.

All You Need to Know About the Perak

The Jawa Perak comes with a lot of intrinsic features. Here's an overview of this cruiser bike. Read on below to learn more about it.

Jawa's Perak is driven by a 334cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine that produces 30.22 bhp and 32.74 Nm of torque and is compatible with BS6. The Perak's engine is bigger than the Jawa and the Forty Two at this capacity. The bigger bore results in the increased capacity, but the stroke remains the same. The Jawa and Jawa Forty Two, on the other hand, produce 27 bhp and 28 Nm of torque.

The Perak has a distinct appearance from the Jawa and the Forty Two. It has a low stance, which gives it the appearance of being longer. The bike also ditches the chrome in favour of a matte black finish.

The Perak is a single-seater with an unusual toolbox design. A floating seat, bar-end mirrors, cut fenders, and stubby exhaust mufflers are among the Bobber-inspired design features. We appreciate that the Perak isn't a half-hearted attempt at becoming a Bobber and that Jawa has gone all-in.

The Perak's bobber stance is due to its unique rear sub-frame and suspension setup. While it seems to be a hardtail motorcycle, it really features a monoshock concealed under the rider's seat. This isn't the first time a manufacturer has selected this sort of suspension; the Triumph Bonneville bobber has used it previously.

Surprisingly, the Jawa and the Forty Two may be specified with rear drum brakes. The Perak is only available with disc brakes on both ends. The Jawa Perak comes in only one colour, charcoal black.

The Perak is not only India's least expensive bobber, but it holds the title by a wide margin. The Triumph Bonneville bobber comes closest, at Rs 10.28 lakh - over five times Perak's price. The Harley-Davidson Street Bob (Rs 12.68 lakh) and the Indian Scout bobber are the other two Bobbers on sale (Rs 13.15 lakh).

In true bobber form, the Perak's front and rear fenders are cut, and the chassis is modified to suit the new wide cage-type swing arm. Surprisingly, the slash-cut exhaust observed on the pre-production variant is still present.

The Perak's 334 cc engine is so adaptable to a broad range of riding circumstances that we'd love to see it on more Jawa motorcycles. It cruises at 100 kmph rather nicely,
