Royal Enfield Bikes

Royal Enfield’s traces of foundation go back to 1893 when the company was known as Enfield Cycle Company. Enfield Cycle made its first motorcycle in 1901 and in the following years it rolled out the iconic Bullet model. The bullish motorcycle was hand-picked by the Indian government to be used by Indian army and police for patrolling Indian border. To assemble Bullet locally, Redditch Company partnered with Chennai based Madras Motors and Enfield India was born. By 1962, Enfield of India, acquired all the machines requisite for building components in India and began to produce all required components locally. The British origin motorcycle manufacturer is now owned by Indian automaker, Eicher Motors, the merger took place in 1994 and since then it is renamed Royal Enfield India. Royal Enfield India currently has two manufacturing units located at Oragadam, near Chennai and Tiruvottiyur (the original factory) is used for producing engines and few motorcycle models. Royal Enfield India’s product portfolio comprises café racers, crusers, retro street bikes, standard street bikes and Himalayan range.

I purchased it in 2019 Its good by its looks and for riding but its not worth buying it because the service is not valid. Everytime they put up something this and that is not working.

Bike with a soul..

I own a chrome version of the classic...not the most hypertuned engine even if it's a 500cc...but when u take this for a ride all u need is a smooth curvy road the wind and that slow thumping yet torqy engine that glides u like a knife into the butter...I mean there's nothing to be worried about the bike ...no fancy electronics or performance chip...just raw machine itself. Friendliest bike ever to ride even repair . Nowadays there are some issues popping up in the new variants but ..it ultimately depends upon the rider ..like how good you take care of your bike .I've been using mine for 6 yrs ...never given me an issue.... I once even rode it through a knee level water area during floods .. thanks to the fuel injection water didn't mess up the engine...got through with just a sticky clutch ..that too because of my inexperience...

Himalayan long term review ,after 2 years

I owned RE Himalayan in September 2016 bs3 version, although there are so many quality issues and other issues are there in bs 3 version, but I did not faced any issues regrading quality and other things like electronic , oil leakage, etc. I rode it around 22000 km and Himalayan gave me pure riding experience and also the service center facility is better now.Just I want to say one thing to RE , that it should have some more power around 28 to 30 bhp just for good Highway cruising.

RE Interceptor 650 is a bike which can be used on highways, go for off roading and on city traffic. It has a fantastic engine great power delivery and the braking and suspension are top notch. I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to ride both on city traffic or highway cruising.
