One of the best Indian car

    T MAITI
I have purchased it a month back. Highly satisfied with its performance and style. Its steering is extremely smooth and very powerful AC. As its new, its better not to comment on fuel consumption, but Honda legacy says it would give best performance after 4th servicing i.e. after 1 year. Not only myself, other friends & colleagues who have driven my car, are fully content with overall performance.

Great car for city use and also for touring

    Pranav
Absolutely a great car with good Value for money. Although the suspension is on a slightly stiffer side..the overall comfort of the car is top notch. Returns a mileage of 13.5 in city use which is not at all bad if you compare it with other cars of its segment.

It doesn't belongs to Indian roads

    Anand
Please this is not a car for Indian roads. They don't provide the same level of quality control in India like in Japan or US. The car have started with the issues of water leaking whenever it rains since it was purchased and however the service station people try to drag it as much as possible and at last once the warranty is over they put the burden on us. I faced the issue with olympia honda - chennai. They always try to pitch for new sales rather than fixing issues. Adv. Mileage Style Comfort Disadv. After sales service Poor quality if materials used in and out of Car, u can check when buses r lorries crosses u at high speed. Electrical problem and body work problem

    Effortless fun to drive car

    Rajesh Pratihari
I am writing this review as i read some top negative comments. I am driving SV MT edge edition ivtec which meets my expectation. if i use cruise control mileage goes up to 16+ and i do that in city driving too for mileage improvement. if i use more clutch and acceleration its obvious mileage will go low. its a 1.5 litre engine not a 1.2 litre compact sedan. verna is good if u compare with diesel engines but ivtec is a champion in its segment. sometimes i step on the peddle harder and its fantastic as i heard form others before it can reach 100 kmph in 2nd gear and in 20 kmph i do not have to shift gear from 3 to 2 its such a refined and powerful engine. if any one ask i can show pic of mileage also. verna doesnt have that comfortable for family and long drives. yaris is even better than verna. i tried all cars before spent 11 Lakh on mu SV MT Honda city. The minus things are reduced in SV model as diamond cut 15 inch alloy wheel, rear view camera and auto dim mirror are provided. i only miss 1. touch screen infotainment system and 2.16'' alloy wheel thats it. Some reviewer say its same old 2008 model city engine but price is so high now. I want to tell them that the Tax price, new additional features, and most importantly refined engine makes it costlier. if u start the engine and sit idle at night still cant hear a noise and it happened to me i tried to start again in traffics.

    Engine block breakage

    Anil Kapoor
Dear Team, This complaint pertains my private car (vehicle registration number:UP32FH6233 purchased in the year 2014 from Stallion Honda Lucknow. Since purchase,my car has been regularly serviced only at Stallion Honda's workshop and has always been under a very good maintained condition. In the month of April'2018 i got my car serviced at Stallion Honda.(invoice of the same attached for your kind reference). Recently,my brother alongwith his family went to Delhi and while returning to Lucknow on 21st June'2018 all of a sudden, car stopped at Agra Express highway at around 3:30pm. Car was running at a constant speed of approx 90-100km/hr. Hope you can imagine our condition where we were stuck at expressway, alongwith ladies and family members,mid-day,47 degree temperature and no help around.... After some time we got help from patroling van and arranged our car towed to Agra at MGR Automobile Pvt Ltd. workshop. Rather than returning to lucknow my family had to stay at Agra. After vehicle inspection,we were intimated that Engine Block part of the engine broke while vehicle was running and we were handed over an estimate of Rs.1.5lakh. PLEASE ADDRESS BELOW QUESTIONS: 1. If there was any defect in above part of the engine, why i was not intimated by Stallion Honda at the time of vehicle service in April'2018.Do they only perform superficial check-up on the car while servicing leaving vital check-ups un-attended and risking life of customers?? 2. There is certain life of engine parts and when it comes to the vital parts of the engine, durability is much more.Atleast we purchased Honda car because of its superior quality parts and performance and after this case we were lest disappointed as mere in the tenure of approx 5 years how can a major engine part result in a failure??this leaves a big questionmark on the quality of spare parts of HONDA CARS. 3.This incident could have resulted in a fatal road accident where my car could have dashed from behind from another speeding vehicle at expressway. Why should i not move to consumer court and file a case against Honda Cars India and Stallion honda demanding vehicle repair expense, towing charges, familt stay at Agra hotel, taxi charges from Agra to lucknow as all these expense are incurred just because of sheer neglegence and pathetic service of Stallion Honda and inferior parts quality provided by Honda cars. My vehicle is at MGR Automobile Pvt Ltd. workshop,Agra and I am facing a lot of trouble in local commuting. This is affecting my business as well. EXPECTING A PROMPT REVERT FROM YOUR SIDE AND A QUICK SOLUTION TO MY PROBLEM.

Very Poor Quality Control by HCIL

    Singh
A new car bought from dealer does not give feeling of new car. On day one there were issues relatrd to SAFETY- vehicle pulling to left, gears not smooth, funny engine sound, as if one had bought an old recycled vehicle. Well HCIL is too snubbish and irresponsible to address the issue.

    Life threatening poor quality products

    Ankit
Dear team I am holding Honda City 2013 model. Sorry to say your car is really taken my savings and my time In the initial years we had to change the battery ,door lock, tyres,. Every other day some new problem How can Honda deliver such a pathetic product and cheat a customer. Suddenly while driving the ignition lock stops working ,a person told me if my car was on speed it could be a threat to life as the steering gets locked. I was driving with my 4 year old son and suddenly had to get my car towed in the middle of the road. Who is responsible if something had happened? The battery gets drained and again someone has to be called to tow the vehicle. Ac stops working and we have to get it repaired. Every day some new faulty part I really wonder why did I spend my savings on such a product. Your service centres are even more pathetic .y experience with Axon Honda was a nightmare. We are a working couple and facing such issues with the car on regular basis I need an explanation from the company how can you fool people with faulty products and services. Who is gonna bear the brunt of money ,time, energy and harrassment faced by me and my family Regards

CITY IS 'THE' CAR IN IT'S SEGMENT

    S Chatterjee
It's a perfect combination of Safety, Performance and Style in that order of Priority. The R and D gone into designing a Honda is distinctly visible. Although am a Maruti loyalist and would've gone for a much cheaper Ciaz if it had a Sunroof but now, it's Thank God it didn't! The auto transmission in the form of CVT is a wonder. The prospective buyer must shed the typical Indian mentality of 'Automatic Consumption is Higher'! The systems in the machine itself ensures fuel economy by the driver. It's already giving much more milage than my earlier Swift (Petrol). The Cruise Control pampers you so much that one looks forward for opportunities to drive more and drive long! The uphill driving becomes so easy. The auto stabilizing feature makes turning a child's play, without reducing speed. The Safety features are fool proof and too many. The dealership would be able to explain them better. The keyless entry is 'literal' as one doesn't require to even push the remote button to enter the Car. The proximity sensor of the driver unlocks the car. A small but extremely useful feature. Some Shortcomings:- - The high beam of headlights are too low for convenient driving in absolute dark conditions. In hill driving, it actually becomes dangerous. - The User Guide Book is confusing, voluminous and not vehicle specific. From Africa to East Asia to India to 6 variants covered in one book. Every time, in each page, you've to look for your machine variant. Poor cost cutting measure by Honda, must say. One buying a 13Lakh machine would atleast expect a dedicated user manual. - Reverse Parking Camera is excellent with three views but a Sensor should also have been there. Makes reversing easy. - The ?700/- worth WiFi adaptor should be part of the basic kitting atleast in the top variants. Shows Brand Honda in poort light as it reduces utility of the beautiful infotainment display. - I was a bit surprised to find that the top end variant too comes without floor mats! Overall a 10 on 10 for the Car in Petrol variant. Dealership quite responsive, unlike the arrogant Hundai. Would be happy to address any specific queries too if it's allowed in C&B review. Posting for the first time, though C&B helped me a lot in decision making, in the past as well as now.

    After Sales support

    Arulraj Somasundaram
The car is good in many aspects. Pathetic and lack of ownership when it comes service support. The customer care service is of no use. No escalation matrix even when you are in urgent need too. Clutch is the worst part of the car which is primarily having the manufacturing defect and the technical snags Honda is reluctant to rectify. Wants customer to bear and simply point pattern of usage. I was literally made to replace clutch and flywheel on my own cost. Honda and its dealer is least bothered to take care of it. It made me to never think of Honda Product anymore.
