Latest Update on XUV300

The all-new Mahindra XUV300 saw its first facelift on 14 February in the year 2019. Since then, the Sub-compact Car/Crossover is one of the favourites of the sports-enthusiasts. Moreover, many prefer this model of Mahindra cars for daily commuting as well. It is a huge sedan of 7-seater, thus, allowing 7 people to easily fit in for enjoying a comfy and joy ride. The new upgradation has given the car a bolder outlook with a bigger bumper, cascading grille and headlamps. LED DRLs, Taillamps and fog lamps have also found a place at the exteriors of the car as the car has been an enrolled automobile under the BS6 compliance.

Though the subcompact car is great for travelling long distances yet cannot be called a very storage-friendly model. The entire boot space is about 257 L which could hold substantial but not very heavy and stuffy baggage. On top, there isn’t any option to fold the seats for extra room to store in the luggage. This Crossover vehicle is available in petrol and diesel variants. While the petrol models are 5 in number, the diesel variants are 8 in all.

Mahindra XUV300 has a spacious cabin with ample legroom for sitting back while driving. Moreover, the upholstered fabrics with comfy headrests are just exemplary to be at. Bearing a sporty stance and featuring most in off-road advertisements, the all-new Mahindra Creta is known for going on roads as well as overcoming the off-roads on the way.

Its powerful turbo-diesel engine of 1.5-litre, with four-cylinder, gives a mileage of 20 Km/l. However, the 1.5-litre petrol variant has 4 cylinders as well but its mileage is just 17 Km/l. Displacement for the powerful engine in diesel is 1497 cc whereas the petrol variants have a power of 1187 horsepower. Power generated and the torque is also different from different models. The turbo-petrol churns out a power of 110 bhp at 5000 rpm along with 200Nm torque at 2000 to 2500. The diesel variants on the other hand give 115 bhp at 3750 rpm and a torque of 300 Nm at 1500 to 2500 rpm.

Some of the unique and distinguishable features spotted at the all-new next-generation Mahindra XUV300 includes a well-sorted measuring unit called Tyretronics to analyse the exact air pressure and temperature in each of its tyres. There’s a seat belt reminder in all the seats. You also get ISOFIX Child Seat Mounts and a child safety lock on the rear doors to keep your child intact and safe from unforeseen events.

If you install the Blue Sense App link on your smartphone, you can very well connect the Mahindra XUV300 to your smartwatch. The 7-inch infotainment system can be connected to your watch so that you can go wireless and take control over the temperature, audio and many other controls available in the car. Lastly, there are unique features such as a dual-tone dashboard, Auto-dimming IRVM and a standard ABS in all the variants.

Overpriced Car which maes no sense for a sub 4 mm

Horribly greedy pricing by mahindra. Given the sub 4 meter tax benefits, they should have had the wiggle room to price this much lower. That they have priced the 1.2 litre 3 cylinder petrol only 50k-60k lower than the 1.5 litre 4 cylinder diesel already shows how greedy they have gotten. I would recommend waiting 6 months - there would be 1 lakh rs or even more kind of discounts on this by then. That way you also don't end up becoming one of the early birds who have to bear the brunt of niggles known to affect all new launches by mahindra. Mahdndra has killed the product with the pricing.

I Sri Kangkan Saikia, bought a XUV 300 W8(O) from Mahindra Industrial and Farm Equipment, Guwahati, on March. I gave the car for 1st servicing on 26th of April’ 2019, but then onwards the whole body of the car makes sounds as on the time of servicing only there was whole vibration of the body. In fact after buying only there was problem with the car. The whole body makes horrible sounds while on running. Again after complaining, they called me for another servicing, then they opened the car to some extend, after informing to the Plant, they said. The whole thing went wrong, the problem rises horribly, the sound increases and increases. I am fedup with the car its problem. A new car is giving so much problem, it’s not worth and it is very frustrating. Every time I take the car to the dealer ! a new problem arises and a temporary solution is advise to me. It is almost 3 (three) months, I take the car every week, again a temporary touch up is done on the car. Recently this Monday something greasing is done, but did not work. It is all disgusting that I am dealing with. I want a permanent solution.

Mahindra XUV300 Expert Review

How is the design?

This exclusive sedan is, by all means, a premium model of the Mahindra Cars. Being a subcompact/crossover car, the Mahindra XUV300 is quite in demand for its hefty size and appearance. A broader and muscular stance give the car a distinguishable factor that could be easily spotted on busy roads. The edgy front end also caters to make the model stand out from others. The slim grille and LED projector headlamps along with DRLs and fog lamps also enhance the overall silhouette of the new Mahindra XUV300.

How does it drive?

Mahindra XUV300 is available in both petrol and diesel variants. The petrol engine works substantially well yet is a bit economical when it comes to generating power. The diesel engine, on the other hand, is quite appealing when it comes to analysing its performance on road. Whether it is heavy traffic or rocky terrain, Mahindra XUV300 can conquer all roads and take you through a smooth and remarkable journey.

How comfortable is Mahindra XUV300?

Mahindra XUV300's comfort level is something to watch out for. Starting with the air-conditioner, there is fully automatic temperature control and a heater. Steering adjustment is tilted for being convenient while driving whereas there are power outlets of 12 V in case your phone's battery runs out of power. Rear parking sensor, cruise control, tractional control and hill assist are some of the other premium features adding to the comfort and convenience factor of the all-new Mahindra XUV300.

Coming to its cabin, there is upholstery fabric in which the seats are designed. Height adjustable driver seat along with front armrest are also good features of the subcompact car. You also get a push start-stop button and a keyless entry. Voice Recognition and alerts, glove box, rear armrests and front cup holders, etc. are some of its other features catering to elevate the comfort quotient of the car.

How's the interior?

The Mahindra XUV300 has a spacious and well-equipped cabin with all the latest technology features and design. The interiors of the new Mahindra XUV300 are inspired by those of Mahindra Marazzo. An all-white upholstered fabric is set against the borders of black giving the cabin a brighter and warm appeal. The comfy headrest, silver lining dual-tone dashboard, tilt-adjustable steering, ISOFIX mounted seats for Children, etc. – all of them caters to what can be called the interiors of the Mahindra XUV300.

How's the tech?

All the new-generation models are designed to be tech-friendly and so is the all-new Mahindra XUV300. This superb model adheres to the technologically advanced features for the proper and smooth functioning of the car. Ranging from the 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system to the Tyretronics, the entire car runs on technology.

Some other noteworthy features of the new Mahindra XUV300 include Smart Watch Connectivity, Electric Tailgate Release, Auto-dimming IRVM, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Steering mounted audio and smartphone wireless charges. There are also plug points available if needed.

How's the Storage?

Subcompact and Crossover Cars are not very storage-friendly models. Though they have a spacious cabin and a broader outlook, yet the quality which they lack is the storage capacity. Mahindra XUV300 is a subcompact/crossover car that does not have very impressive storage space. The boot space is about 257 litres and all its seats at the rear are in position. The benefit of having split seats is that they could be folded for having extra room for storing luggage. However, Mahindra XUV300 does not have that convenience of foldable and split rear seats and therefore, whatever luggage you need to carry would require to be stuffed in the 257 L boot space. Unless there are fewer commuters, you cannot make use of the rear space for stalking up your stuff.

How's the mileage?

The mileage of the all-new Mahindra is quite impressive and expressive. As per the ARAI, that is, the Automotive Research Association of India, the mileage of Mahindra XUV300 is said to range from 17 Km/l to 20 Km/l. The manual transmission petrol and diesel engine have a mileage of 17 kmpl and 20 kmpl respectively. Moreover, the Automatic transmission diesel engine also has a mileage of 20 kmpl.

How is the performance?

The performance of the brand-new Mahindra XUV300 is also quite impressive as the turbocharged petrol and diesel engines perform very well. The 1.5-litre turbo diesel engine has a displacement of 1497 cc and produces 118 bhp horsepower along with 300 Nm torque. The petrol engine also poses a good comparison with a 1.2-litre four-cylinder engine churning out a maximum power of 108 bhp and a maximum torque of 200 Nm.

How safe is Mahindra XUV300?

Mahindra cars are known for their extremely user-friendly tech and specifications. When it comes to counting on the safety measure posed by the Mahindra Cars, it can be said that the all-new Mahindra XUV300 is one of the best and safe models of all times. Not only does it assist you on hilly terrains but also has parking sensors to guide you through. There are other safety and precautionary features like the seat belt reminder, power door locks, child lock and central locking system. Airbags are also provided for providing cushioning against pedestrian crashes. There is ABS with EBD. The 17-inch tubeless tyres with alloy wheels are best for grip and control over the vehicle on plain land as well as on rocky and hilly terrain. Thus, by all means Mahindra XUV300 is the best and safest subcompact cars launched by Mahindra and driven by you.

Is it a good value for money?

The all-new Mahindra XUV300 is an excellent offer to invest your money on a purchase worth making. Its magnificent performance, over-the-top engine, exclusivity in design and eye-catching cabin are just enticing enough to lure you to buy the subcompact car. Moreover, taking heed of its safety features and comfort level, the Mahindra XUV300 can undoubtedly be claimed as one of the best Crossovers of all time where investment does not go in vain.

All You Need to Know About the XUV300

The all-new Mahindra XUV300 comes with a bunch of features and facilities in the upgraded version of the model. Here is a glimpse into all the additions and modification made to the new-gen Mahindra XUV300.

First and foremost, the entire build-up of the new-gen Mahindra XUV300 is inspired by the SsangYong Tivoli's X100 platform due to which you can find similar characteristics of the inspiring model in the car. New upgradations are made to enhance the performance as suspension setup along with the steering wheel gets a fresh mechanism to work on.

Dimensions of the new Mahindra XUV300 has been upgraded. Measurements of its overall build-up area would be roughly 3,990 mm in length, 1,820 mm wide and 1,620 mm in height. The wheelbase has a measurement of 2,620 mm which stands above 180 mm from the ground and gives the broadest footprint in this segment of cars.

The upholstery used for designing the cabin in the new-gen Mahindra XUV300 seems to have taken inspiration from the likes of Mahindra Marazzo. An off-white and black theme is chosen to give a contrasting and eye-catching appeal to the interiors of the car. The dashboard's overall appeal has also been advanced by a silver finishing and the black hues are used in various places like doors armrests, console and piano.

While analyzing the technologically advanced features introduced in the car, you will see how a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system perfectly fits well near the dashboard. Furthermore, this touchscreen can well be used for connecting to various Smartphone software and features. Connectivity to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto help you connect with the upcoming road via the navigation bars and it could also be used for playing audio on the road or recordings. A few among the top-notch features of the new Mahindra XUV300 include a rear-view camera, armrest box, cruise control, engine start-stop button, steering mounted audio controls and many more.

Some of the features introduced in the top variants of the new-gen Mahindra XUV300 include dual-zone climate control, a sunroof, front as well as rear parking sensors. There is an auto-dimming inner rear-view mirror as well. However, what's missing here are the AC vents for the rear seats in the all-new Mahindra XUV300.

Engine variations in the new Mahindra XUV300 are both petrol and diesel. While the petrol engines would be 1.2-litre, three-cylinder turbocharged units, the diesel variants would have 1.5-litre four-cylinder units. This is the same as Mahindra Marazzo but the makers have somewhat detuned the engine for the Mahindra XUV300. However, all the variants of Mahindra XUV300 having petrol and diesel engine previously had a standard 6-speed manual transmission gearbox. However, it soon launched the AMT gearbox in the range for utmost convenience.

Power generated in the diesel variants is undoubtedly better than the petrol ones. While the diesel variant churns out 115 bhp at 3750 rpm the petrol models produce 110 bhp at 5000 rpm. Torque is also different for the diesel and petrol engines as 300 Nm of peak torque is produced at 1500 to 2000 rpm for the diesel engines. However, for the petrol variants, the engine produces 200 Nm of peak torque at 2000 to 3500 rpm.

Coming to the safety measures and precautions for maintaining safety against crashes, the all-new Mahindra XUV has many impressive facilities. You get seven airbags where one belongs for protecting the driver's knees against collision. Moreover, features like ABS with EBD are also provided as standard options for all vehicles. Some of its other driving aids include rear parking sensors along with an Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Traction Control, Hill Start Assist and Hill Descent Control. You also get to use another feature where you could easily switch between different modes to set the steering as per the traffic on busy roads.

Along with accepting pre-bookings for the car, Mahindra is all-set and looking forward to launching the electric iteration of the all-new Mahindra XUV300 to make it an eco-friendlier model in town.
