Latest Update on Creta

Ever since the launch of the Hyundai Creta was announced in the year 2015, it has been one of the favourite Crossovers of all times. Soon the first-generation Hyundai Creta saw rival models in the market. Kia Seltos and MG Hector were introduced who gave tough competition to Hyundai Creta. Of course, the rival companies launched their models with better features to outcast Creta from the market. However, Hyundai would not back down and recently at the Auto Expo held on February 6 in the year 2020, it launched the second generation Creta with a lot more exciting features and a tech-friendly support system.

The all-new Hyundai Creta is a B-segment Crossover that is revamped to bear the Sensual Sportiness of the Hyundai SUVs. The new design has got a big cascading grille with low-set headlamps adhering to the ongoing trend in car designs of the era. Above the headlamps, lies the daytime LED lights whereas below it, lies the fog lamps. All these cater to bring out a bold outlook at the forefront of the car. The silhouette is more enhanced giving an SUV like appeal and the rear stance also get a modification to bear a new look from behind.

While checking out its variants, you will find the new-generation Hyundai Creta is available in 17 variants. Ten of the variants have petrol engines whereas, seven of them are known to run on diesel engines. The seating capacity of all the variants is that five people could easily fit in and comfortably go on a long ride. Moreover, it has a boot space of 400 L, therefore, you can well carry all your stuff on board while you set off on a long journey. While Creta usually has set all its seats in the place with a single-piece rear seatback but if you go for the Creta AT variant then you may get 60:40 split-folding rear seats which could, in turn, be folded for having a greater space for your baggage items.

Even though not a very-friendly model for hardcore off-roading, yet the Hyundai Creta is a substantial performer at any uneven or rocky surface. Moreover, for long rides too, Hyundai Creta could be an ideal choice. Its spacious cabin and comfy seats are perfect for the driver as well as the passenger while going on long drives. Furthermore, Creta has good ground clearance in the city as well. Its light and peppy steering and clutch pedal along with short gear throws are perfect to combat the city traffic. Therefore, Hyundai Creta can well be bought for adventure as well as for daily commuting.

Coming to its Engine and Mileage, well Hyundai Creta has a decent mileage when it comes to its ground clearance. You get two variants in the engine types – one is the 1.4-litre diesel engine and the other is the 1.6-litre petrol engine. The fuel economy of the turbo engine in the diesel variants is around 21.4 Kmpl whereas for the petrol variants the mileage is about 16.8 kmpl. Both petrol and diesel variants have models with a manual and automatic transmission that gives a decent performance in terms of mileage and capacity.

One of the best features of Hyundai Creta can be defined as the Sporty appeal which the second-gen model has in it. Moreover, its new and enhanced cabin is just an over-the-top refinement to the car. Better performance and capacity are some of the other additions which make the car a complete package for swift commuting anywhere at any time.

Some of the distinguishable qualities to spot at the all-new Hyundai Creta are features like an Electro Chromic Mirror, Voice-Enabled Smart Panoramic Sunroof, Smartphone Wireless Charger, Puddle Lamps with a Welcome Function, Burglar Alarm, ESS (Emergency Stop Signal), VSM (Vehicle Stability Management Control) and an option to select the Drive mode such as Eco, Comfort or Sport. Thus, you can not only ride in style but in accordance with your preference too.

Perfect car for small Indian family. Good features and awesome looks make the car worth the money spent. it's a smaller version of Santafe we can say but Santafe is overpriced to buy so I am happy with the compact SUV as compared to cost.

I faced the brakes failing issue today (3rd time ..but not lucky this time ) on 22 august 2018 in morning. Just because of faulty brake system by hyundai in CRETA , i met an accident at the speed of 20-30km/hr.. car did not stop at all .it scared the shit out of me.. I am afraid and can never do high speeds on creta untill this gets rectified.. Hyundai is risking my life as well as other people life on road. Creta is a powerful vehicle with such weak brakes system. I went to service centre right away and the service manager was fooling around with me with some of their stupid questions. Very bad experience and life threatening. I wont be able to drive my creta with confidence ever in my life.. if feel cheated now.my hard earned money is wasted on such a life risking car.. plz never allow any of your known people to buy hyundai creta .. its a serious request for a very serious concern . I m a user and have faced it . Do take this serioisly and search " brake failure hyundai creta " on google.. u will be shocked with the number of complaints..plz check it and then decide.plzz dont risk ur life ....

My car is creta 1.6 sx+and . I purchased it last year. After couple of month later I found a problem in back gear of my car. After that I had visited more than 10 times in Grover hyundai (Ludhiana) and everytime they told me that we had repaired your car but I found the same problem again and agian in my car. Now I am facing another problem, my car is not stable when it is in 70-80km/hr . Its been almost 1.5 years now and its under warranty periods but the company is reluctant to solve this problem.

I have been driving this Car for a Year, to tell you the facts i learnt my driving on this car with an 'L' board [bit funny for a Creta to have an L] when i drove other cars i did feel the difference - My Creta did actually help me learn quick [20 days i was driving in traffic] Due to the power - you just need to put the car in gear and just release the clutch it starts rolling and keep switching the gears upto the 5th without any accelerator you can touch 45-50 - i have tried this on others but they just shut down. Also you don't need to press down the accelerator much just a feather touch and the car just responds with power the max speed that i have reached on this is 186 kmph and due to a sudden diversion in the road had to break at once and it did come down to <60kmph in a very short distance as was able to avoid the barricade - i actually though it was done for me I have traveled long distances in this you don't feel any discomfort even after 8 hrs of constant driving, even in City its really comfortable Do agree that on a mud road with bumps its not that comfortable but its a car for the city and highway and you will love the drive and the cabin comfort Mileage factor: in city i get between 13.5 to 15 KMPL and on the highway i did get around 17-19 KMPL at a speed of 110-120KMPH, if you travel in the 80-100KMPH you get a better mileage

Car feels premium with loads of features. Butter Smooth to drive. Diesal version has very low cabin noise and vibration. No knocking feels inside cabin. Pickup is great. OEM fitted sound system performs well for average user. Over all the feel and comfort of car is great. However the car is a bit overpriced.

Hyundai Creta Expert Review

How is the design?

Counting on the Sporty appearance, the new-gen Hyundai Creta has undergone a drastic transformation when it comes to its design. The front end is adorned with the trio lights which undoubtedly give it a bold and eye-catching appeal. The setting of the headlamps in between the Daylight LEDs and the fog lamps makes Hyundai Creta stand out among other popular crossovers.

Moreover, the big cascading grille at its front only caters to add more character to the overall appearance of the model. Contrary to its predecessor, the new Hyundai Creta has got an enhanced muscular stance which gives it a broader and wider appeal. Along with the creases in the bonnet, there are flares on the wheel arches which thus make the new Hyundai Creta a distinct model among the other sport utility vehicles on road.

How does it drive?

The 2020 Hyundai Creta has a very smooth and refined appeal on road now. The special drive mode where you can select whether you want to go ecological, comfortable or sporty is just an over-the-top addition made to the car. The 1.5-litre petrol engine gives out a horsepower of 113 bhp and 144 Nm peak torque whereas the turbocharged petrol engine pumps out 138 bhp horsepower and 242 Nm torque.

However, in terms of mileage and torque, the diesel variants outrun the petrol models. The 1.4-litre diesel engine of 1493cc makes 113 bhp horsepower along with 250 Nm of peak torque. Mileage in the diesel variants is also better than petrol cars. With a mileage of 21. 4 kmpl, the diesel variants of the new Hyundai Creta is a better version of the car than the 16.8 kmpl petrol cars. The 6-speed manual transmission is found in all the models whereas there is an optional torque converter in the 1.5 diesel engine variants. You further get a 7-speed DCT on the turbocharged 1.4-litre petrol engine cars whereas the 1.5 petrol motor has got an automatic iVT for giving the commuters the best ride experience.

A smooth ride is always a comfy one. Well, at speeds above 40 kmph, the new Hyundai Creta goes seamlessly well without making any dragging noise or giving you any jerks. Mid-range and top-end driving would not even make the motor run out of steam; however, you must check on the bottom end which sometimes lags due to the gearbox. However, high-speeds would cover up for the hassle caused by the gearbox. You will not even feel the head nods when you go for some spirited rides. Furthermore, you can make use of the paddle shifters which are introduced by Hyundai in its Creta for gearing up the speed limits while driving sportingly off-roads or highways.

How comfortable is Hyundai Creta?

The all-new Hyundai Creta has not just undergone a drastic transformation in its appeal but doubled its comfort level as well. The cabin is now more spacious thus, giving substantial legroom for the driver as well for the one on the passenger seat. There is enhanced space for luggage as well. Well-cushioned seats with comfy headrests are just like icing on the cake. With the new-gen Hyundai Creta, you can now ride in style and comfort. AC vents are just in place to give you a cooling effect against the warm-weather outdoor.

There's a heater as well. You can also adjust your steering to a tilt where you also get mounted audio systems. The height-adjustable driver seat along with comfy headrests and front armrests are some other features adding to the comfort quotient of the car. The upholstered fabrics in which the seats and interiors are decked up are in shades of black along with red borders. Now black and red is a very good combination which thus, makes the car a tough competitor when it comes to comparing the interiors of the other SUVs on road.

How's the interior?

On taking a glimpse into the interiors of the new-gen Hyundai Creta you will notice how Hyundai has chosen the standard colour black to deck up its cabin. While the 1.5-litre petrol and diesel models have their interiors designed in black and beige colours, the turbocharged models have an all-black them with red borders on the steering and AC vents. The steering wheel is also tilted which gives you a better grip and control while driving. Upholstered fabrics are used to design comfy seats and headrests. Rear seats have also been upgraded for giving a comfy ride.

How's the tech?

There is a 10.24-inch touchscreen infotainment unit that could well be used for navigation by connecting it to any of the smartphone features. Be it Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, the all-new Hyundai Creta is a well-connected car. So much so that it's top variants also have a BlueLink Connectivity technology. USB ports and a wireless charging tray are some of the other conveniences at Hyundai Creta's cabin.

Some other tech-friendly support systems include the Vehicle Stability Management Control, the Burglar Alarm, a voice-enabled smart panoramic sunroof, electrochromic mirror and many more. Hyundai Creta has also got puddle lamps which helps in illuminating the ground below the doors. This indeed is not just a convenience you get at the all-new Hyundai Creta but also adds to the overall styling quotient of the car.

How's the Storage?

Crossovers just like SUVs are not very storage-friendly models on road. They are excellent for daily commuting or long roads with a little baggage but not very heavy luggage. Hyundai Creta has decent storage as its boot space has a substantial capacity of holding up to 400 L. Furthermore, if you buy the Hyundai Creta AT variant, you may well get an option of split seats at the rear. These split seats can be folded to make extra room for your luggage items.

How's the mileage?

When it comes to analysing the mileage of Hyundai Creta, it can be said that its performance is substantially well on comparing with other Crossovers and SUVs on road. Both manual and automatic transmission in the petrol models gives a mileage of about 16.8 kmpl. The diesel variants are a tad better in mileage than the petrol ones as it gives 21.4 kmpl mileage.

How is the performance?

Talking about its performance, the Hyundai Creta has a good ground clearance in the city as well as the outskirts. It goes well on uneven grounds and hilly terrains as well. However, going off-roads with the Hyundai Creta cannot be called an ideal choice. Therefore, if you want to get a budget-friendly crossover loaded with tech-friendly features for daily commuting and joy rides with family then Hyundai Creta is the best choice.

Introduction of the top-notch features like the Vehicle Stability Management Control gives you a better hand and assistance while riding on busy roads. Moreover, you also get to select from the various drive modes in the car – that is whether you wish to go economical, comfy or sporty.

Some specification of its performance would be that with a mileage of 16.8 kmpl, the 1353 cc petrol engine variants give a horsepower of 113 bhp with 144 Nm torque. If you buy the diesel engine of 1493 cc engine, you will get a better mileage of 21.4 kmpl and generate a horsepower of 113 bhp with 250 Nm torque. All You Need to Know About the Creta

The Hyundai Creta is all set to receive its mid-cycle facelift in India this year and we have more than enough spy images to confirm its arrival. Recently the updates 2018 Hyundai Creta was spotted at a dealership stockyard, indicating that the official launch might happen sooner than we expect. As of now, the SUV is expected to be launched in India in a coming couple of months. We have already told you a fair bit about the 2018 Hyundai Creta Facelift, and here's everything that you need to know.

Hyundai first launched the Creta in July 2015 and over the years the carmaker did introduce several feature additions and minor cosmetic update. However this is the first time that the Creta is set to receive its first mid-life facelift, after about three years.

The Hyundai Creta facelift will comes with an updated face, equipped with the new cascade grille, revised headlamps with projector lights and LED position lights, LED daytime running lamps, new front bumper with redesigned fog lamps and beefier skid plate.

The updated model also comes with a new sportier set of 17-inch alloy wheels, however, the mid variant and the lower-spec variants will continue to come with 16-inch alloys and 16-inch steel wheels respectively.

Spy images have revealed that the rear portion of the Creta facelift will not see any major changes apart from the slightly tweaked tail lamps, and the new rear bumper with fatter plastic cladding, and a larger skid plate.

The Hyundai Creta Facelift will be offered in six variants - E, E+, S, SX, SX dual tone, and the top-end SX (O) and will be offered in two new colour options - Passion Orange and Marina Blue. The former will also be offered as a dual tone option with a black roof, while Polar White with a Phantom Black roof option will be carried over from the existing model, along with few existing colour options.

The cabin of the Creta facelift is also set to come with a bunch of updates, both cosmetic and features-wise. A recently leaked features list confirms that the SUV will get leather treatment as well, possibly for the top-end models. The dashboard will receive new black treatment with silver accents, orange inserts inside the cabin, and new upholstery with contrast stitching.

On the features front, the top-end model is expected to come with an electric sunroof, push-button start, larger 7-inch touchscreen system with audio and navigation, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto & Mirror Link for in-car connectivity.

On the safety front, the Hyundai Creta Facelift now comes with dual airbags and ABS as standard while the top-end model gets six airbags (including side and curtain). Other features include electronic stability control, hill assist, rear parking sensors with camera, static bending lights, ISOFIX child seat mounts and more.

The engine options will remain unchanged and the SUV will continue to be offered with a 1.4-litre diesel, a 1.6-litre petrol and the top-end 1.6-litre diesel engine. While the former will get the option of only a 5-speed manual gearbox, both the 1.6-litre engines will come with the option of either a 6-speed manual of a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.

Upon launch, the 2018 Hyundai Creta is expected to come with more firepower to compete with the likes of the Mahindra XUV500 facelift, Renault Captur, and even the Jeep Compass.
