The Hyundai Grand i10 Nios was launched in India in August 2019, and it’s the third-generation Grand i10 model in India. The car will be built in the company’s Chennai factory and will be exported to other markets as well, and while the petrol version was BS6 compliant right from the time of its launch, diesel model made the transition to BS6 norms from April 2020. Hyundai also offers the Grand i10 in a petrol+CNG version and a turbocharged petrol model, offering a total of four powertrain choices. The Hyundai Grand i10 Nios is offered in 5 key variants – Era, Magna, Sportz, Turbo, and Asta, that are divided into 14 different iterations based on engine and transmission choices. Including the dual-tone options, the car comes in 9 colour options.

As far as engine options are concerned, the Grand i10 Nios will continue to use the 1.2-litre petrol and diesel engines. The 1.2-litre petrol makes 82 bhp and 114 Nm and comes with a 5-speed manual gearbox as also a 5-step AMT as well. The 1.2 litre diesel, which also BS6 compliant now makes 74 bhp and 190 Nm of torque and is similarly mated to a 5-speed manual and an AMT unit. The CNG version which gets the same engine at the pure petrol, offers a reduced output of 68 bhp and 95 Nm of peak torque, while mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard. As for the turbo-petrol variant, it comes with a 1.0 litre GDI turbocharged engine that is tuned to make 99 bhp and develops a peak torque of almost 172 Nm. The car comes with a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard.

In terms of looks, the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios gets the company’s global design language. You get the cascading grille on which are placed the boomerang shaped DRLs and the top-end models also get LED fog lamps which is a segment first feature. The Grand i10 badge has been given a miss, while the 'Nios' badging now takes prominence on the boot. The X-shaped C-pillar, which was prominently talked about on the European version, gets the 'G i10' moniker on the, along with the X-inspired diamond cut alloy wheels. The images also confirm the chrome door handles, blackened pillars, and the auto folding ORVMs with turn indicators on the top trim.

In terms of dimensions, the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios is larger than the Grand i10. It’s longer by 40 mm, wider by 20 mm while the wheelbase has been increased by 25 mm. The height, however, is still the same. The interior too gets an overhaul and wears a premium look. The dashboard gets a new 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system which gets smartphone connectivity. The steering and the AC vents have been borrowed from the Hyundai Venue. There is new ivory-grey fabric upholstery on offer which further ups the premium quotient inside the cabin.

As far as safety goes, the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios gets ABS with EBD, Dual airbags, rear parking sensors, driver and passenger seatbelt reminder and pretensioners and speed alert system as standard on the car. In the top-end variants you get features like rear view camera, headlamp escort system, speed sensing door lock and impact sensing door unlock. The car uses 65 per cent of advanced high strength steel (AHSS) in its construction.

We just bought Grand i10 magna AT a month ago. Quality of car superb, sturdy and smooth to drive and very much comfortable, especially the rear vent for A/c and better width of he car. Fully satisfied with the Auto version. Very convenient to drive. Have added sensors and music system as additional accessories. Was using Santro Zing XS top end model earlier which was really better and more convenient for taller persons. Steering tilt system in magna would have been better, as I test drove in Asta model.

i bought a car in march 2018 ,its milege is very poor, salesman make fool of costomer saying that its milege is 18 but its actualy is 10 n below ,the goodnes of car is interior

AC issue due to compressor

I have purchase this car before 2.5 years. I was face AC not cooling properly (50% cooling Only) from last 6 months. I was go to Hyundai service center for this issue and put my car at service center for one day. After a day service center team call me and discuss for this issue, Team tell me your car's AC compressor is leaked, and this is repairing cost approx 22 K to 24 K, and this item not come in insurance (Insurance Company Name: HDFC Egro) claim, because no any damages in your car and AC compressor. Because insurance (Insurance Company Name: HDFC Egro) company claim accept in damage or accident condition. As per local market review (Local garage) in Hyundai Cars AC compressor is a common problem.

Hopless car never buy it

I purchased the car in 2013.After two years it started showing problems. First it's AC was not working properly. Since I had not opted for extended warranty, I had pay for it. They had to change the coil. Then one fine morning the Electronic Power Steering got stuck. I had to chage the module.Then the stero became faulty and it's irreparable, as per the service advisor.The clutch plate had to be changed and the silencer is also leaking. I got it repaired. Now it has run 60000 Kms. Recently the vehicle had to be towed to the workshop, since it was struck on the road with a broken engine pulley. It has run only 60000.KMS.I have never come across such a disastrous car in my life. So don't ever buy this car.

I10 a poor choice realisation post buying

I was initially impressed by hearsay and published reviews and bought an i10 with all company accessories with 0 dep insurance. I wish to make future buyers aware of realities. However, the average is much below par around 15-18 for CNG . Also within first couple of months use the plastic parts, guards, flap and others have started falling apart. The response of the showroom is stoic silence and that of workshop is to blame the customer or his driver. Three months of dilly dally and escalating complaint to head office has had no effective results than few confusing and bargaining phone calls. The demand is for 15500./- This is a covert means to earn back profits and reclaim the discounts given ion carnivals.I wished I had opted for a Maruti.
