I took a test drive today. Power of the car is pleasing and definitely a quality material but... Concern raises when it comes to comfortable seating position. Especially in rear for 3 passengers. India is a family bound nation and space is a real matter of fact next to mileage. That's where Venue scores low! I'm moving onto i20 which is best in class in every aspect.

1.Have purchased the hyundai venue 1.0 turbo petrol automatic in july 2019 2.In bumper to bumper traffic, the dct transmission overheats rapidly in 20-30 mins;you will need to stop the car for a period of time 3.The only solution presented by hyundai and modi hyundai is to switch between Neutral and Drive Mode when you stop the car either on signals or anywhere. Thus defeating the purpose of purchasing an automatic car 4. Press the brakes completely and not midway 5. During the pre sales and sales cycle; the sales folks did not inform that the car would overheat !! 6. If you have traffic in your area; do not buy the DCT version!!! the above issues are also mentioned in the car manual (which you get post buying the car) 7. There is a lag below 2000 RPMand you go to live with it. 8. On a clean road on the highway, this car functions v well; there is no over heating
it's great power package with many features....

Hyundai Venue Expert Review

How is the design?

The new Venue is lighter that before and its longer and wider too. The car gets the quintessential SUV proportions with boxy design, smooth edges, a large grille, underbody cladding and roof rails among others. This car can give envy to Kia Sonet. The new design of this car is a total departure from the previous edition. The car looks like a coupe having four doors. The Hyundai Company wanted to make the car go bold on several fronts. It has turned out to be a lot sportier too with some innovative facets added to the looks of the car. There are surprising lines converging at a point that spells out the core of this design theme. There are polyhedral shapes and obvious creases all over the body. The car bears an aggressive look that will draw your attention the moment you spot the vehicle. The boxy LED headlights have been so designed as to appear merging into the all new cascading grille. It gives it the look of a singular unit. There are dual-tone alloys giving a visual treat to the eyes. The side-profile of the car looks dramatic. The roofline flows down into the rear that has a fastback style. The car comes with flared wheel arches and sculpted muscular line a different spark to its design. There is a spilt lighting set-up which large LED projector headlamps and sleek indicators positioned properly give it a sleek look. The logo of 'Venue' adds to the car's premium look as it quite different. Although the car seems to have dropped in height, it has more legroom and shoulder room for the passengers seated in the rear seats.

The dashboard is new and has been thoroughly redesigned. There is an attractive flat-bottom steering wheel. There is an attractive pair of screens of 10.25-inch dimension, one for the instrument panel and the other one for the infotainment unit with a touchscreen. There are four AC vents. They have a smartwatch connectivity as well. They have been designed in a way to look like one.

How does it drive?

Hyundai Venue is quite comfortable to drive due to its make and design. The cruise control, electric sunroof, the driver's power-aided seats, leather upholstery, reverse camera and multiple driving modes are the salient features that guarantees a cushy ride. There is a 1.4 litre engine and 118 HP of power that gives you enough power to cruise or overtake comfortably. Though the SUV is power-packed, it does feel as exciting as you might expect. Some people don't find much difference with the presence of the modes like Eco, Normal, etc. The car takes some time to gather speed but once it's past the threshold, it just drives on confidently and comfortably. The suspension is on the stiffer side that takes some pleasure away from driving. On smooth roads, you don't feel any discomfort. You will feel some thuds on the potholed roads. The steering has undergone some useful changes from the previous model. You get a pretty good feedback off the steering wheel. There is very good stopping power due to all-wheel disc braking system. It's a good car for those who don't expect too much aggression out of driving. You will get a lot of refinement and comfort.

How comfortable in Hyundai Venue?

The car's a spacious one and that adds to its comfort. There are comfortable leather seats. The car is stable on the bends and turns. You can negotiate hairpin bends effortlessly giving minimal discomfort to the passengers. It's not a sports car but it's a car that comes with a lot of comfort and excitement. The plush interiors, the space, and the smooth ride make it a great driving experience. The leather upholstered seats, the new system of AC vents, and plenty of legroom gives you the feel of luxury.

How is the interior?

There is a well-thought out cabin where there is plenty of space. You have a nice visibility at the front row. The backseat has become roomier and more spacious. It's good even for the tall ones. This car is the best in the class in terms of space. There is a power-adjustable seat for the driver. The adjustment range is pretty wide. The steering wheel also can be adjusted to suit the driver. It can be made to fit into the most comfortable driving position.

The Subcompact SUV comes with a beautifully designed cabin and it has voice command and smartwatch connectivity. The car even provides remote access and vehicle tracking as well. The gearshift knob has a leather wrap and that's quite easy on the grip. There is a glove compartment and a digital clock. You will find an electric sunroof too.

How is the tech?

The design of the car is futuristic. The driving space is like the cockpit. The boot space is 295mm, which is really long in the class. You can open the door with your smartphone. There is one touch drive. The AC can be operated by voice command. The collision avoidance system protects the car against crashes or freak accidents. There is a digital key also. You can lock or unlock the car with the help of Bluetooth technology. You can remotely open and shut the boot and the door. There is an integrated display with high-tech image. There is an option of saving the seat position, navigation and many other controls. There is a provision for connecting two smart phones. The noise blocking technology prevents the sounds from the road and the engine while you enjoy the music while driving.

How's the storage?

295 mm is the boot space in this car.

How's the mileage?

For the vehicle, the mileage is 17.5- 23.7 kmpl.

How's the performance?

The car provides you with a super smooth ride on good roads though there are issues of jarring and bumps on off-road conditions. Its engine is powerful enough to ride on the hilly terrain on the inclines and its brakes are commendable with discs fitted on all four wheels. There is absolutely no drag and the car is stable even on the curves and bends.

How safe is Hyundai Venue?

The car is absolutely safe to ride because it has contemporary braking systems that prevent the car from rolling and skidding. There are six airbags inside both for the driver and the passengers.

Is it a good value for money?

This car is good value for those who value a car that offers luxury, comfort, music, safety and above all elegant looks.

The newest Subcompact SUV from Hyundai's stable is crammed with plenty of good stuff. The car Hyundai Venue 2021 happens to be the 7th generation line of Hyundai cars in India. This seventh generation beauty has arrived to steal the limelight from its competitors and other cars of this class. This car has come in the time when there are SUVs ruling the roads. The car looks absolutely dashing and it's even light. The good features are going to be in its favour. The car's presence is also going to create a renewed interest in the segment of SUVs. The company has put everything behind this car with the expectation that it will lead the segment of SUVs. Here are a few things you should know about Hyundai Venue.

The Great Looks: The Parametric Dynamics is the new design technique introduced by Hyundai in this SUV. It has enhanced its appearance many fold. The car has a coupe look and it has four doors. The aesthetics of the car has been created using unconventional thoughts and face look that has broken the old conventions in India. The car stands out like a geometric crystal and it has crisscross waves and patterns mingling harmoniously to elicit a healthy emotional response from the buyers. The new look and dimension has been brought in after adjusting its proportions. The car is longer and wider compared to the previous car of Hyundai. The car now has a more aggressive appearance.

The new Engine and the all new Hybrid version: you will find in the standard car a 2.0-litre MPI Atkinson Cycle four-cylinder engine. The engine produces 118 HP and 172 lb-ft torque. There is an Intelligent Variable Transmission that routs out the power to the front wheels. It is in essence a CVT. The fuel economy is going to be quite encouraging but the best one will be the hybrid version. Now, the company is using six-speed dual clutch instead of IVT to deliver a unique driving experience. The car even has a disc brake system which makes it much safer than any other car.

Interior that leads the class: The interior design of this car has been christened as an ‘immersive cocoon. There are lower and wider structures. There are slim air vents. There is a layout that is driver-oriented. There is a pretty console that is kept high. The outstanding feature here is a huge leader-in-the-class touchscreen with the dimension of 10.25 inches. It is for the infotainment system that is paired with a drive information display.

There is a technology that is first in the segment: The huge screens are not the only ones to display the latest technology adopted by the company. There are many modern and advanced features added like wireless Apple Car Play, Android Auto, Qi wireless charging, Bose Premium Audio, voice recognition technology and a digital key. There is SmartSense Safety feature that is loaded in the standard version. It has features like forward collision avoidance system. There is a lane keep assist, lane follow assist, high beam assist, and a driver attention warning. There are also optional safety equipments that include blind-spot monitoring, smart cruise control and highway driving assistant.

The car is bigger than what it was: Surprisingly, the modifications in the interiors have not altered or impacted the space within the interior. There is higher headroom now in the front and the back, better legroom. There is also an enhanced shoulder room making it comfortable to seat 5 persons. This makes the car much more superior and better for long drives as well without any scope of un-comfortable feeling.

Exterior: Hyundai has used the Sensuous Sportiness design language while making this car. It is no longer like its erstwhile no-frills cars. You will appreciate the boldness of the car brought on by its new design engineering. There is an angular body surfacing and there are triangular lines with sharp points.

The coupe look: There is a sophistication brought about the car and there is a coupe-like roofline. There is a much longer wheelbase and a wider stance. The overhangs are shorter. There is an obvious change in design with an attractive parametric jewel-pattern grille that is integrated with the turn signals. They are cleverly hidden until you activate them.

The exquisite rear: The lighting stretches all the way to the end of the rear. The car has a modernised look due to the bumper cladding and faux skid plate gives it a rugged look. It has smooth edges and the car definitely gives out a sleek look.
