New Hyundai Venue Latest Updates

Hyundai Motor India is likely to launch the facelifted version of its popular subcompact SUV, the Hyundai Venue, soon. Select Hyundai dealers have already started accepting pre-bookings for the Venue facelift, for a fully refundable token amount of Rs. 11,000. In fact, some of the dealers we spoke to have told us that the SUV is likely to go on sale in India as early as June 2022. Interestingly, Hyundai has also sent out a 'Block Your Date' to the media for June 19, however, the company has not revealed what is it for. So, we would expect it is related to the upcoming Venue facelift.

Now, some of the Hyundai dealers we spoke to also told us that the company has already stopped taking factory orders for the existing model, and only the vehicles that are in stock with the dealers are currently on sale. This means the company has already stopped manufacturing the outgoing Venue.

Right now, not much is known about the upcoming 2022 Hyundai Venue facelift, however, seeing the company's recent design philosophy, we would expect to see some considerable visual updates. In fact, spy shots of the global model revealed that the Venue facelift will also get the new slatted design grille inspired by the new-gen Tucson. The SUV is also likely to get updated headlamps, new alloy wheels and other styling changes.

In fact, the cabin too is expected to get its fair share of updates, including new interior and upholstery. Hyundai could also offer an updated infotainment system with the latest BlueLink connected car tech, among other features upgrades.

Engine options will remain unchanged. The 2022 Hyundai Venue facelift will continue to get the same 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol paired with a 5-speed manual, and a 1.5-litre diesel engine paired with a 6-speed manual. The subcompact SUV will also continue to offer the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine with the option of a 6-speed manual or iMT and a seven-speed DCT automatic.

Other Upcoming Hyundai Models are the New Tucson, New Kona Electric and Ioniq
