Cons
1. The Alto's 47 bhp 800cc, three-cylinder engine is decent enough for the city, but after some time you are left wanting more.
2. The Maruti Suzuki Alto is quite basic which it comes to interior quality. The plastics and materials used inside could have been better.
3. Features like a touchscreen infotainment system with SmartPlay Studio is only offered with the top-end trims of the newer Alto. So, if that's a priority, then you'll have very few options.
4. The Alto is not that impressive when it comes to safety features. Even the new model only gets a driver-side airbag, ABS with EBD, reverse parking sensors and seatbelt reminder. The older models will have lesser features.
