Maruti Suzuki has made its tallboy, Wagon R, look bolder, sturdy, and attractive with its wide posture and modified styling elements. Overall, Wagon R is no more a boring or box-shaped city car.

The increase in dimension has made the cabin feel more comfortable than the old version of Wagon R. You can an ample space for legroom and shoulder room. Stepping inside the cabin you can feel the dimensional change from its previous version with ample space in the legroom and shoulder room. It is nearly 13 mm longer than the old hatchback and 125 mm wider. The light beige leather finish uplifts the ambience of the cabin which is bright and airy.  You get a rear 60:40 split seat, a dynamically crafted instrumental panel, floating dashboard, steering mounted controls, electric ORVM and power window controls.

With the advanced technologies, Wagon R has made driving effortless. The auto gear shift changes gear according to the road and traffic conditions. The SmartPlay Studio System with a 17.78 cm touchscreen infotainment display installed within the car is a new age connected infotainment system with several new features. You can enjoy multiple media support along with safe navigation, as well as all the information about your car status is alerted. The SmartPlay Dock System is also an interesting tech titbit within the car. The top variants are having steering mounted audio control, the infotainment system features Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and Steering Mounted Voice Control.

The storage capacity of Wagon R has increased with its increase in dimension. You get ample headroom, legroom, as well as shoulder room. Maruti Suzuki Wagon R has taken its driving performance to a different level with its advanced 1.2L K-series petrol engine. It has a high fuel efficiency with a claimed mileage of 20.52 Kmpl. Added to the petrol engine, now a CNG version of the engine is also available in the market. The base model Wagon R LXI 1.0L petrol variant with a K10B engine produces a maximum engine output of 50 kW @ 5500 rpm and a peak torque of 90 Nm @ 3500 rpm. While the CNG version of the same model produces a maximum engine output of 43.5 kW @ 5500 rpm and a peak torque of 78 Nm @ 3500 rpm. While the top variant ZXI AGS 1.2L uses a K12M engine paired with 5-speed AGS produces a maximum power of 61 kW at 6000 rpm and a maximum torque of 113 Nm @ 4200 rpm.

How safe is Maruti Suzuki Wagon R?
