About Hero Xtreme 200S

The BS6 Hero Xtreme 200S is priced at Rs. 115,715 (ex-showroom, Delhi) in India, which is roughly Rs. 13,000 more than the BS4 Xtreme 200S, which was priced at Rs. 1.02 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The motorbike now has an oil cooler and Hero's XSens technology, programmable fuel injection, in addition to a BS6 compliant engine. These innovations, according to Hero, provide greater durability, less overheating, and improved heat exchange. The new 200 cc motor produces 17.8 bhp at 8,500 rpm and 16.4 Nm of peak torque at 6,500 rpm, somewhat less than the BS4 variant.

The BS4 motorcycle used the same 200 cc air-cooled engine that produces 18 bhp at 8,000 rpm and 17.1 Nm at 6,500 pm. A new colour for the BS6 Hero Xtreme 200S is dubbed "Pearl Fadeless White." The bike is now available in three colours, with Sports Red and Panther Black being the other two. The bike keeps features such as dual LED headlights, Bluetooth connectivity with turn-by-turn navigation, and a digital LCD instrument panel in addition to the BS6 compliant engine.

Telescopic front forks and a 7-step adjustable mono-shock rear suspension are standard on the Hero Xtreme 200S. It has a 276 mm front disc with single-channel ABS and a 220 mm rear disc. The bike now weighs 154.5 kg, up 5.5 kg from the previous BS4 model. The motorcycle's full-fairing design remains the same as before.

Hero Xtreme 200S Expert Review

How is the design of Hero Xtreme 200S?

The Hero Xtreme 200S is a fully-faired 200 cc motorbike produced in India. The Xtreme 200S is covered in an all-new aerodynamic fairing with a sleek-looking twin LED headlight built on the same diamond-type frame. A pair of position lamps on each side, a tank pad on the gasoline tank, a single-piece seat, an all-LED tail lamp, a split-type grab rail, and a sleek-looking exhaust canister surround it.

Apart from the basic features, the Xtreme 200S has a completely digital instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity, a gear position indicator and a service reminder. The BS6 Xtreme 200S comes with LED headlights and taillights and a full-digital instrument panel with a gear position indicator and Bluetooth-enabled turn-by-turn navigation and call alerts.

How does the Hero Xtreme 200S ride?

The 199.6 cc, two-valve, air-cooled engine is still in Xtreme tune and comes with simply a carburettor. The power and torque output statistics remain the same and the Xtreme 200S rides much like the previous bike thanks to a two-kilogram increase in kerb weight (now 149 kg). That implies you have a wide range of low-end torque and decent city riding tractability. The bike spent most of its time on the course with the throttle wide open in 5th gear, never exceeding 115 kmph. Given the time and room, you should be able to reach a peak speed of around 120-125 kmph on the road.

How comfortable is Hero Xtreme 200S?

The Xtreme 200S is presently Hero's only fully-faired option, with most components taken from the Xtreme 200R naked street bike. While the motorbike has a sporty appearance, it provides a pleasant ride ideal for everyday commuting and short weekend excursions.

How’s the tech?

This bike has the following tech features:

  • Digital speedometer
  • Digital tachometer
  • Gear indicator
  • Fuel warning indicator
  • Fuel gauge
  • Low oil indicator
  • Low battery indicator
  • Pillion seat and grabrail
  • Engine kill switch
  • ABS
  • Bluetooth

How’s the mileage of Hero Xtreme 200S?

The Hero Xtreme 200S bike delivers a mileage of 36.9 kmpl.

How’s the performance of Hero Xtreme 200S?

The Hero Xtreme 200S has pleasant ergonomics and supportive seats, but the 200 cc engine seems inadequate for extended highway trips. Yes, you can go on a long-distance ride with the Xtreme 200S if you can accept that. Despite its athletic appearance, the bike's stepped seat can accommodate two persons. When taking this motorbike on lengthy trips, even the riding posture is pretty accommodating.

The Xtreme 200S is Hero's only fully-faired alternative at the moment, with the majority of its components sourced from the Xtreme 200R naked street bike. Despite its sporty exterior, the motorcycle delivers a comfortable ride that is perfect for daily commuting and brief weekend getaways.

Is Hero Xtreme 200S good value for money?

Yes, it is worth purchasing now that Hero Motocorp has disclosed the upgrades made to the Xtreme 200S. If you want a sporty-looking motorbike that is comfortable enough for everyday commutes under 1.5 lakh rupees, the Xtreme 200S makes a very strong argument for itself. It is less complex, more powerful, and has a greater peak speed.

im using this machine for almost one month, its really a best value for money product. its speed not gonna thrill ypu but its performance and its road presence will.,really with such a great look which represent the great ducati panigale.so im really proud to be a firsty owner of this machine in nellai, south india.its led lights are also very powerfull.very good conering capacity and handelling performance.the only drawback i face is the aircolling system the company might have given a liquid cooling or a oil cooling with it.but its not a very big drawback.happy to be a owner of something unique

It's been a whole year since i bought this bike and to be honest, it's running like charm. I see a lot of people criticising this bike over engine noise and low mileage. To be honest people like these don't really understand the machinery and abuse it then say it's not performing well. In my case, i always use a primium full synthetic engine oil which doesn't let engine make noise. And as per as mileage, i constantly keep a check on every part of my bike. I've changed my spark plug twice , i don't always rip out throttle at max and always keep tire pressure steady. The irony is that if you don't take care of your vehicle, even it's a Ducati or Hero, it will never satisfy you. People should learn to take care of their vehicles before putting negative reviews online.

I have been using the bike from 3 months. done with 1st service and have completed 1300 KM. Looks : definitely I would rate 5 out of 5 for the looks, this again depends on person to person views. Handling : Very good in terms of handling and Control. Seating position gives an amazing control over the bike and tyres and breaking gives you confidence to rev the throttle. (Specially ABS) Mileage : After 1st service i have checked on mileage in city riding and have got 235 KM with 6.47 liters (around 37 per ltr) this is calculated from reserve to reserve (checked twice and same result in city condition) Mostly single driven with an average speed of 40-50 KM per hour. Power : Could have been little better but when compared to the amount that is priced i would say any time better than any 150CC bikes which are available at same price. Pros : Best features like ABS, looks, control, Slight aggressive Riding Position, Mileage compared to its power. Pricing. It can be said as next version of Karizma. whoever liked Karizma would love this. Maintenance is cheaper than any other 150-200 CC bikes. Cons: Only red color looks good, other color patterns do not comprehend the bike. Gear system could have made better. Gear liver slips and can not retain back to top gear once you slow down. Overall its an worth buy for the price it is available for.

All You Need to Know About the Xtreme 200S

Here are all the important details that you need to know about Hero's new fully-faired offering, the Xtreme 200S.

The fairing is quite well-designed, and it reminds a little of the Suzuki Gixxer SF. Up top, there's a bubble-style windscreen that should help keep the wind at bay. Because it's an air-cooled engine, there are plenty of air vents, and the fairing doesn't completely cover the sides.

The side box and tail panels look to be unaltered from the Xtreme 200R. However, the number plate holder is shorter. The high-set tail section also works well with the rear radial rubber, which is 130/70.

Aside from the windscreen, the Xtreme 200S comes standard with a fully digital instrument cluster, LED headlamp, and LED tail light. The instrument cluster is based on the XPulse 200, which means you get all the cool features like Bluetooth-enabled turn-by-turn navigation, call alerts, and service reminders. Aside from standard elements like a tachometer, speedometer, two trip metres with average speed indicator, an odometer, a fuel gauge, and a clock, the console additionally has a gear position indicator.

The deep scallop on the wide single-piece seat for the rider really helps the rider nestle into the saddle. It has split-type grab rails, just like the Xtreme 200R.The Xtreme 200S uses the 200R's frame, underpinnings, engine, and tuning! So the naked commuter's 199.6 cc single-cylinder air-cooled motor produces the same power and torque figures.

It has the same 37 mm telescopic forks in the front, a 7-step preload-adjustable mono-shock in the back, and the same diamond-type frame. Hero has modified the front forks' damping qualities to accommodate for the extra weight of the fairing.Standard brakes are the same 276 mm front and 220 mm rear discs with single-channel ABS. The motorcycle is equipped with 17-inch alloy wheels and MRF tubeless tyres with 100-section front and 130-section rear sections.

Hero has nailed the pricing on the Xtreme 200S, despite the fact that there aren't as many chances as we'd like. This is the country's second most cheap faired motorcycle, priced at Rs 1.2 lakh ex-showroom Delhi. You get a nice-looking fairing, a more info-packed fully-digital instrument cluster, and a modern LED headlamp for an extra Rs 7,600 above the Xtreme 200R.
