The Hero HF 100 focuses more on functionality than form. The engine is 97.2 cc, an air-cooled, single-cylinder unit that is also equipped with fuel-injection technology. It has a seat height of 805mm and a ground clearance of 165 mm and offers 18-inch alloy wheels and tubeless tires without an option of an electric start. The fuel tank is slightly smaller at 9.1 litres. The motor belts generate a maximum power output of 7.91 bhp at 8,000 rpm along with a peak torque output of 8.05 Nm at 5,000 rpm and comes mated to a 4-speed gearbox. With the popularity in the commuter motorcycle market space, it is planning to expand its audience even further.

However, a detailed comparison between these bikes will help you understand which one is the best out of them. For the same purpose, we have separated the entire comparison into few key heads:-

Please note: A detailed comparison of Hero HF 100 and Hero HF Deluxe has been made in our preceding segments. Both the bikes are absolutely the same in all regards, except for a few minor differences as mentioned above. Therefore, we are comparing only the remaining bikes in the below section.

    • Pricing: In this regard, Bajaj CT 100 and TVS XL 100 are the cheapest models priced around Rs. 46,000, followed by Hero HF 100 which is priced at Rs. 49,400, and lastly the Bajaj Platina 100 priced at Rs. 53,120.
    • Body Dimensions: Looking at the L x B x H of these models, we saw Hero HF 100 to be a perfect model sizing 1965 x 720 x 1045 mm. The Bajaj Platina 100 is comparatively much more spacious having dimensions of 2066 x 713 x 1100 mm. The remaining two models are almost of competitive dimensions.
    • Colours: Hero HF fails to compete with the other three models in this regard because it is available only in a single colour i.e. black with red. The Bajaj bikes are available in 6 different colours while the TVS XL 100 is available in 12 colours.
    • Weight: In this regard the TVS XL 100 is the lightest, weighing only 89 kg, followed by Hero HF 100 at 110 kg. The two Bajaj bikes are 115 kg, being the heaviest.
    • Engine Performance: The Hero HF 100 offers an air-cooled, single-cylinder engine of 97.2 cc equipped with fuel-injection technology generating a maximum power output of 7.91 bhp at 8,000 rpm and a peak torque output of 8.05 Nm at 5,000 rpm. On the other hand, the other three bikes perform as follows:
    • Bajaj CT 100 - 102 cc air-cooled, single-cylinder engine generating a torque of 8.34 bhp @ 5500 rpm and a maximum power of 7.79 Nm @ 7500 rpm
    • Bajaj Platina 100 - 102 cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine generating maximum power of 7.9 bhp @ 7500 rpm and a maximum torque of 8.34 Nm @ 5500 rpm
    • TVS XL 100 - 99.7 cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine generating maximum power of 4.4 bhp @ 6000 rpm and a maximum torque of 6.5 Nm @ 3500 rpm

    • Fuel economy and tank capacity: While the Bajaj bikes have an 11-litre tank capacity, the Hero HF 100 only have a 9.1-litre capacity.
