Yadvinder Singh Guleria has resigned from his position of Director, Sales, Marketing, After Sales, Logistics, Premium Bike Business, Brand, Communication and Service at Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI). Employees were informed of Guleria's resignation yesterday, citing personal reasons. He will be exiting the company in June 2022. YS Guleria has been associated with Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India for over two decades. His career also includes a year-long stint as the director with Polaris India Pvt Ltd between 2011 and 2012.

(HMSI recently announced venturing into the electric mobility space with a new vertical, Honda Power Pack Energy India, which will power electric three-wheelers)

He was elevated to the Board of Directors in the year 2020 and was responsible for Sales & Marketing, Customer Service, Logistics, Brand & Communication along with the new vertical of Premium Motorcycle Business.

Atsushi Ogata, Managing Director, President and CEO, HMSI said "Yadvinder Singh Guleria has been a part of HMSI ever since its inception and has made invaluable contribution in expanding and accelerating our business while leading several critical functions in the company. He has cited personal reasons for his decision, and we wish him the very best in his future endeavours"

The company recently announced its future roadmap for the Indian market. This includes upgrading the Manesar facility to convert it into a global production hub for motorcycles. The company is also said to develop flex-fuel engines for India and will introduce a new entry-level commuter motorcycle for India soon. Lastly, Honda is moving towards the electric mobility segment with its new vertical - Honda Power Pack Energy India, which will power electric three-wheelers with swappable batteries.
