The powerful crossplane engine generates a maximum power of 197.3 bhp at 13500 rpm and a maximum torque of 112.4 Nm at 1150 rpm. The TCI or Transistor Controlled Ignition sends a fresh charge in the combustion chamber. The cylinder vibrations and weight are reduced by titanium con rods. The engine has a 6-speed gearbox with a multi-plate wet clutch, Assist and Slipper Clutch (ASC) and Quick Shift System (QSS). The combusted products are thrown out through the titanium end pipe by the exhaust system. The Aluminum Deltabox frame provides more stability when leaning into corners. You can reach high speed (triple-digit) in the first gear itself. The Bridgestone Battlax gives an adrenaline rush and confidence to riders who wish to lean the machine into corners. The 17-inch wheels along with sectional tyres give a better grip on straight lines. 

How comfortable is Yamaha YZF R1?
