Bajaj has now given the bike a few cosmetic changes and refreshed graphics. This particular bike gets the round headlamp unit that integrates an LED DRL at the bottom. The tail lamp is also an LED unit. To match the whole urban-cruiser character, the bike gets a short handlebar, short pillion grab rail, alloy wheels and all-black components.

Compared to the Avenger, the Suzuki Intruder has tremendous road presence. This is thanks to its muscular fuel-tank extensions, low slung looks and inverted triangular headlamp, all of which are inspired by its elder sibling, the Intruder M1800R. The bike also gets a uniquely styled dual outlet exhaust that is an attention grabber in itself.

The Avenger Street 220 and Suzuki Intruder ride on the alloy wheels and telescopic front forks. However, while the Intruder gets a monoshock at the rear, the Avenger is equipped with twin shocks.

Braking duties on the Avenger Street 220 get simply done by a 260 mm disc and a drum brake for the front and rear respectively. The Suzuki on the other hand gets bigger brakes with a 266 mm disc upfront along with a 260 mm disc at the rear. It is also equipped with a single-channel ABS as standard.

The Royal Enfield Bullet is powered by a 350cc, air-cooled, carburetted motor that contains the highest displacement among this lot. Mated to a five-speed gearbox, this unit produces 19.8 bhp and 28 Nm. Then it comes to the Avenger Street 220 which churns out 19 bhp and 17.5 Nm from its 220 cc, liquid-cooled, carburetted motor. Now, the Suzuki Intruder displaces the lowest engine capacity of 154.9 cc. This entirely air-cooled, fuel-injected mill churns out 14.6bhp and 14Nm and, is mated to a five-speed gearbox.

There is no such difference between the engines of the two bikes. They are only as powerful as each other. Along with effective and efficient 220cc engines, both the Bajaj Avenger Cruise 220 and Bajaj Avenger Street 220 have a maximum power of 18.76 bhp @ 8400 rpm and a maximum torque of 17.5 Nm @ 7000 rpm. Both of them have 2 cylinders each along with the carburettor fuel delivery and an oil-cooled cooling system. The self-start system of both bikes makes it easier for the rider to start the engine of the bikes.

This is where the real difference between the two models comes to light. In the case of fuel tank capacity, Bajaj Avenger Street 220 is a winner as it has a capacity of 14 litres in comparison to Cruise's 13 litres. On the other hand, Avenger Cruise has a better fuel reserve capacity of 3.8 Litres than Street's 3.4 litres. The Bajaj Avenger Street 220 gives a better mileage of 45 kmpl in comparison to its counterpart having that of 40 kmpl. There are shared wins and losses between the two.

This review is after 20 months usage. This is basically a Indian made luxury look highway bike. Positives: Beautiful looks, Easily cruise at 85 - 90 kmph for long distances with no strain or vibration on the engine. We can easily do 200 kms non stop. This is not a race bike and the max speed is 15 - 20% lower than other 200cc bikes. Smooth bike. Powerful headlight and very a comfortable rider seat. Mileage 35 in city and 47 in highways without gear shifting. Negatives: Not suitable for people above 6 foot. Needs lots of space to turn. Cannot do short turns easily. Feels heavy because of low height and long length when pushed. This bike is like a chariot. Not pothole friendly. Pillion seat is hard. Bad idea from bajaj to keep drum brakes for heavy rear tyre. Drum brakes are useless above 40 kmph in this bike.
Looks Good but Worst Feature.

Good looking bike but the main problems are,.............. 1) No kick start too much problem in winter. 2) Need a car's space to turn. 3) Heavy fuel consumption. 4) Problem for tall person. 5) Only for style but no Good ENGINE. 6) After 22000 km sound like cracked bamboo. ******* But Honda Unicorn 150 better than it.
Ravishing Bike

All You Need to Know About the Avenger Street 220

In recent times, numbers of people out there think about the best kind of bike to go for a long drive. This is where; Bajaj Avenger comes into the picture. Bajaj has resurrected the Avenger cruiser brand with the launch of the new Avenger Street. This absolutely new iteration is being offered in two variants –Street 220 and Street.

Bajaj Avenger Street 220 has the beautiful design and the build is extremely unique and exclusive. The polished black colour makes the entire look absolutely different. The 220 really takes forward the legacy of the iconic Avenger brand in India. You will get to see two different colours of it.

The Avenger Street 220 has gotten an all-black treatment.

As this is powered by 220 cc engine, the bike does not give you any sort of hassle when you ride on the bumpy and dusty road. The Max Power of the bike is (19.03 bhp) @ 8500 rpm and the Max Torque is 17.5 Nm @ 7000 rpm., the seat height is 737 mm and that is why; you do not feel uncomfortable while sitting on it. If you consider the performance and mileage, you will feel that this is the best choice.

While most of this is dipped in matt black, there are some of the contrasting silver bits like the heat shield on the exhaust, wheel rim tape and a few side panels. The fuel tank of this bike may look similar to the one in the old model, but the new Avenger logo and the golden and red decals make the tank area look quite stylish.

Bajaj has already well-equipped the Avenger Street 220 with rubber bellows on the front suspension forks to complete the full black look of the motorcycle. Braking consists of a drum at the rear, but the front disc now has the option of single-channel ABS, an option worth a little less than Rs 7000 over the non-ABS Avenger.

The Avenger Street is built around the same tubular double cradle frame as the old model. Powering this motorcycle is a 220cc single-cylinder, oil-cooled DTS-i engine, which puts out 19 BHP and 17Nm of torque. The engine is paired to a 5-speed gearbox.

The wheelbase gets enhanced by 19mm. Moreover, along with 162mm of (5mm more) ground clearance, the bike has ample room to clear tall speed breakers. The changes in dimensions need to enhance the overall stability of the bike.
